The media could not be loaded. I don’t exactly know what people are doing in some of these reviews. Yeah it’s a little bit wiggly while you’re assembling it but once it’s fully assembled and the screws are all tighten down properly. It’s a really solid bookshelf for the price. There is very little wiggle. In fact I realized after I recorded the video that most of the wiggle isn’t the actual shelf itself. It’s because it’s on carpeting and it sinks into the carpet when I push it to one side. I can lift it onto on corner and it remained completely true and ridged. For mine the actual wiggle is so little it’s almost unnoticeable. I can only assume that some of these people either did not assemble it correctly. Or they completely overloaded the shelves compromising its integrity and then acted shocked when it couldn’t handle more than the warning stated. Idk what to tell you all. 🤷🏻♂️ it’s a really good bookshelf for the price. Just build it correctly, and don’t overload the shelves. ... show more

I noticed other reviews say that this shelf is okay for the price; its cheap quality which is to be expected because of the price, etc.. I totally disagree! After trusting that the product would at least be as advertised, I purchased it to avoid trying to buy one in the store and paying to have it delivered, etc. I don't mind assembling furniture, I'm actually pretty good at it. BUT this shelf is a joke! Since receiving it, I have done some browsing in stores and I regret this purchase enough to reconsider even shopping on Amazon ever again! I've found in dozens of second hand shops, antique stores, Goodwill's, and more, so many shelves that are perfect condition, quality material, and is not a complete eyesore, all for less than what I paid for this one! The only material that's listed in the product description is "engineered wood," nowhere does it say cardboard. Actually, I think cardboard would have been better quality than whatever was used for the backing on this shelf. It's as flimsy as plain paper and it does NOT look anything like the picture they show. They show a backing that looks flat, flush, and like it's one big piece. I don't care if it's in 20 pieces or 1, but I do care if it looks like it was butchered and taped together. It looks like wood after it has been water damaged; swollen in the seams, but that's just an illusion. There's no water damage, it's just the folds that are permanently engrained from the way they had the backing folded in the box! Plus the shelves are all chipped looking. There's no way to make it look flush either without gluing the back of the shelves to the paper backing which means you could never adjust the shelves again, therefore there's no need for the hundreds of holes that are up and down both sides! The only reason I don't return it is because I would have to disassemble, and pay for the shipping. I'll probably save time, stress and money by just using it to start a bonfire on the beach. Will never buy from again due to not being able to trust them. Actually considering suing for false advertising because it is not as described. Small claims court is easier to go through than the return process for this item ... show more

This shelf is honestly exactly what i was looking for. Its by no means a heavy duty shelf and it is kinda flimsy, but for the price its worth every cent. If you are just trying to find something to hold books or display items on, this shelf will be perfect. Its easy to assemble, i built it by myself in about 25 minutes. All you need is a phillips head screwdriver. It does have a cover for the back that comes in 3 pieces, but i honestly thought it'll look better with it off. If you decide that you want it on, it seems really simple. All you'll need is a small hammer or if no hammer a nice rock to nail the back on. Over all, this is a nice shelf and a good buy. I had been looking for a bookshelf for a very long time when I came across this one. I was so excited about the price and the way it looked that I didn't bother looking at the reviews (shame on me) before I ordered it. After the order was already processed and the thing had shipped, I found some of the reviews and was actually really scared. Everyone said that it was cheap and weak and wouldn't hold anything. Some even said it fell apart as they were trying to stand it up. Needless to say, I was a little worried. When the box showed up (2 days after it had originally be scheduled to be delivered) it was really beat up and torn in several places. I was worried that it had affected the pieces inside it was so bad. I don't know if that happened with UPS or what, but it was the worst condition I have ever had a package show up in. Thankfully, the pieces were unharmed and I started trying to put the thing together, only to realize, that the hardware was missing. I don't know if it was because the box was so damaged and it had fallen out or if it had just been packed without it, but I was kind of upset that I couldn't put it together. I contacted the Furinno customer support line on the instructions (which were practically in shreds by the way) via email and told them that the unit came without the hardware. I honestly expected to have to go out and buy the hardware myself, but I felt they should know in case it was a packaging issue on their end. I got an email back within an hour asking me the order number and the unit model number and they told me they would send the hardware out at no cost to me and apologized for the inconvenience. I got the hardware a few days later and was able to FINALLY put my shelf together, which was when the real worry began. As I was assembling it, I was really worried about it all falling apart like most of the reviews had said. But I was very surprised at how sturdy it actually was. It was easy to assemble and it actually works perfectly for what I need it to! I know it's bad, but I even tried rocking it a few times to see if any movement or slight bump (I have two kids who play in the playroom where my shelf is) would cause it to fall down. It didn't. I am actually very happy with this product and have attached a picture to show what it looks like put together with all my books on it. ... show more
