I purchased this item in May. It suddenly stopped working in July in the middle of me curling my hair. I didn't use it much, maybe twice per week and I enjoyed it for the 8-9 weeks that it did work. I reached out to the vendor who told me to contact someone else within their company (name, no contact info) to activate the warranty. I never heard back from them. I'm still waiting. ... show more

    • Temperature dial is where hand goes!
I've been trying to like this straightening iron and have used it many times but... First and most important, the placement of the temperature dial is frustrating but above all, dangerous!!! I know this, therefore I'm extremely careful not to move it. It's very easy to change the temperature inadvertently and that's NOT GOOD!!! I use it between 390°F-400°F and it's gone all the way up to 450°F. Thank God that I noticed before I put my hair in it because my hair would've been very, very damaged!! Don't risk it, believe me, it doesn't matter how careful you are, it will be a huge problem. Second, while the auto shut off feature is nice, it shuts off while I'm still doing my hair. I have a lot of hair that takes me about 45 minutes to finish, it shuts off before I'm done. You can turn it back on but the manufacturer could've made it to shut off in one hour. However, the pressing issue with it is my first point of the review; having your hair burned because the dial is in the place where you need to put your hand is a risk I'm not going to keep taking. This has got to be the best flat iron I have ever owned. I have thick wavy hair and let me tell you 20mins later my hair is straight. Straighter than any other flat iron has gotten it. Highly recommend.
