My one year old absolutely loves this toy! It does come with small pieces, that's why it's rated for older kids, but if you don't use them it's perfectly fine for younger kids and toddlers. I LOVE that there is an off button. I had the original Furby growing up and remember hiding it in the corner with a towel over it so it wouldn't go off randomly. I swear all of those were infused with some kind of demon or spirit how often they just randomly went off. This does use English, so it's a great thing to help develop language skills. Very talkative but just recently stoped working hopefully just the batteries it has been a while so hopefully the batteries just have died. I’ve had to replace them once since June.

Worked just as described - the clasp on the necklace was a bit loose to claspe, I assume a factory defect. I choose to not return it. But I like it, cute and cool, and it's been added to my collection. I'd say it's also good for kids, even if they don't collect.

    • Christmas Gift Broken after 1 hour of use
Furby was purchased for my wife as a Christmas gift in October 2024. She received it on Christmas Day and played with it for approximately 10 minutes on 5-6 occasions. Unfortunately, it suddenly stopped responding and would no longer turn on. We replaced the batteries multiple times and attempted the recommended reset procedure (holding the gem and mouth for 5 seconds+ with Furby upside down) without success. Given the price of the Furby, its failure after only 60 minutes of use is unacceptable. This equates to approximately $10 per minute of use, which is an extremely poor value. Online research suggests this may be a common issue with this particular model. I am extremely disappointed with the short lifespan of this product and the lack of available solutions. I am also frustrated that replacement options appear to be unavailable because it was purchased in advance for the holidays. ... show more
