  • Light for aluminum
Color: Orange
We have four kayaks and this makes our fifth paddle. Why? Because I am planning to retire the heavy clunky one that no one wants to use. Weight matters, as does blade shape and flex. My picture shows them arrayed by weight, with the lightest on the left. The FunWater is the orange one. Not surprisingly, the three carbon fiber paddles are the lightest and the two aluminum paddles are the heaviest. My go to paddle is the yellow one in the middle. The sIight difference between it and the lightest makes no discernible difference, but the shape and flex do. The heaviest paddle, with its too broad, heavy blade, is going up by the road with a free sign. On the water, I still like my original paddle best. Its narrow, slightly longer blade profile seems to grab the water better while presenting less wind resistance. Most importantly, it is not so much the weight that seems to matter. It is the stiffness and “swing weight”, which relates to the weight of the blade itself as opposed to the handle. My “go to” paddle has fiberglass reinforced nylon blades. The best paddles have carbon fiber blades. The FunWater has a fiberglass reinforced polypropylene blade. It has a higher swing weight, but it is not terribly inferior to all the others and way superior to my heavier aluminum paddle that I am giving up. My wife, who is not the strongest paddler, shares my preference, but for me the difference, while certainly noticeable, is not crucial for casual paddling. Bottom line: this paddle is a huge step up from an entry level paddle. It cannot compare to to the best mid-level paddles. ... show more

  • Decent paddle for the price
Color: Blue
I bought this to take kayaking. I liked the different color options and the price was hard to beat. I like that you can feather the paddle but it would be nice if you could also adjust the length. You can see my other day tripper paddle doesn't even have the option to feather and it was more than double the cost! I haven't had a chance to take the paddle out on the water yet but I will update my review once I do. It is a little heavy but overall a good paddle for what it is. ... show more

  • Nice paddle that floats too!
Color: Blue
This is a pretty nice kayak paddle. It feels solid in the hands. A couple of things I noticed about it. For one, it's a little heavier than the paddle that came with my kayak, but it does include drip rings. It's about a few inches longer than my current paddle too, which I like because I have a raised sit, not a sit in kayak. The curvature of the blade is much better than the paddle I currently have and it does make a difference so I do like that. Overall, I do like this paddle but I wish it were a little lighter in weight. One thing I don't have to worry about is if the paddle falls out of the kayak, it does float so that is a definite plus. For the price and performance, I would recommend this paddle. I just wish it were a little lighter. I'll use it and on longer trips if it becomes a problem, I'll switch to my lighter one. ... show more

  • Solid cheap kayak paddle
Color: Blue
Overall this is a good kayak paddle for the money. It is a little on the small side and the color isn't the greatest if you get the blue/ grey( almost feel like medical colors). Overall a cheap affordable option if you need a paddle.

  • Gets the job done!
Color: Black
This is a great starter paddle for someone new to kayaking. This is lightweight and my arms don't get tired after paddling for awhile. Materials are good quality. I think it will hold up well.

  • Decent paddle
Color: Blue
Lightweight, easy to use. I have a 1 person canoe and wanted a kayak paddle to not have to transfer a single paddle back n forth. It works well in those regards. Feels like it could push better imo but we will see what other reviewers say. It's solid, I could push off the ground with either side of the paddle without fear of it breaking. It fits well in the hand. Looks good with my canoe ... show more

  • Comes in two parts
Color: Blue
I like that this paddle comes in two parts. The "arms" are aluminum and snap together with a button that pops into place in a hole. However, the paddle is heavy. I rated the paddle a 4 because of the weight.

  • Nice Paddle, does the job.
Color: Orange
Overall it is a nice paddle, especially for the cost and ease of ordering. It has a flexible blade so it should be able to withstand a little abuse along the shoreline or pushing off objects in the water. It is about 7 1/2 feet in overall length. It does have three hole for adjusting the paddles with a left or right offset to match your comfort. They also have drop loops installed. The only improvement might have been a wrap on the handle where the hands are positioned, but that is not completely necessary at al for general use. Overall this seems to be a decent paddle for the cost of a basic kayaking paddle. ... show more
