I have a suzuki xl7 and had one inch clearance between the oil pan and this thing. So I rolled my car up on 2x4s and plenty of room. No splashes and easy to pour out. Is it too big? Maybe for some but for the average car with 5 quarts it's great. If you're worried about clearance than get a smaller one. Definitely recommend. ... show more

You won't find something much cheaper in price than this. Sturdy, lightweight, and easy to clean. I only wish it was a closed lid style. Perfect for the price though.

Not sure what to say in a review of an oil drain pan. I now own 4 of 3 different types. This is as good as any of them. However, I will note some features the other pans have that this one doesn't. No top - stinky fluids stink, reusable fluids prone to dust and debris. Also, a covered pan usually has a stand off to allow a filter to drain. Spout doesn't have a cap. After you dump the pan into a longer term storage container, the spout drips since is doesn't have a cap. I can't dock any stars for these items as I was aware of what I was getting when I ordered. Does the job for the price, I am sure it will be kicked around the shop for many years. Buy with confidence, but know there are better models out there..... ***UPDATE*** 11.24.2021 - I'd like to add at this point that in addition to motor oil, this drain pan has seen PS fluid, brake fluid, trans fluid, diff fluid, transfer case fluid, gasoline, coolant, carb cleaner, brake clean, and just about any other spray cleaner/solvent you'd expect to find in a shop/garage. Holds up to all of them. No color fade, no softening or breakdown of the plastic.... ... show more
