The only thing I don’t like about it is the mesh screen will fall out on occasion. When this happens it’s just and opening so it’s really not anti pest. I had to end up screwing the mesh in place so it wouldn’t fall out any more. Now when the lint and built up I have to take all the screws out just think there could of been a better design ... show more

Unfortunately, when this arrived, it was much smaller and would not cover the opening that our builder had chipped out when he installed the original vent cover. This is a nice product; very sturdy. Good quality. Replaced a very old plastic vent cover which was falling apart. As someone else here mentioned, I removed the pest screen before installing, because I didn't want to have lint piling up behind it. Otherwise, easy to install, and I'm glad I got it. Recommended.

So, I installed this vent about 2 weeks ago now and looks great. Over the past few days, as the air is pushed out of the vent over it makes an annoying noise as the louvers now from the air!!!! So my wife is so not happy with this the noise as it’s next to our deck and you can even hear it inside the house. Now I have to find something else because of this issue.. ... show more

    • Good vent cover but....

This vent cover worked just great for a bathroom vent fan . The problem is that the 'wire mesh' was flimsy and wasn't secured to the vent. Therefore it wouldn't perform any function of preventing anything foreign from entering through the vent from the outside. (like nesting birds etc) As luck would have it, I did have some REAL wire mesh that I cut down to fit inside of the vent. After that, it worked just great! ... show more

    • Great but no almond or cream color

We had a series of Bathroom fans put in and the contractor put in hooded exhausts that stick way out because “those are the only ones with screens” to keep the birds out. These were a great replacement and, yes, the only alternative I could find that lays flat and has anti-bird screening. These look way better on the side of our house. Only downside is that we have off white siding so these are noticeable in that they are bright white. These should come in a cream or a almond color. In order to paint them without the slats sticking, we’d have to remove each slat, at risk of breaking them, spray paint primer to stick, spray paint color, then reassemble, shaving off edges to keep the slats movable. I’ve painted others, and the added paint layers keep the slats from moving properly. Also not sure how to paint without getting the screen clogged. So we left them white for now. Wish they had come in more colors. At least cream and black ... show more
