Features

  • GF50mmF3. 5 R LM WR consists of 9 elements in 6 groups and includes one aspherical lens element to minimize spherical aberration and barrel distortion. Crafted to produce sharp images, rich tones, and very little focus breathing, this lens is great for either still or motion capture.
  • Lightweight and versatile for any shooting situation - Weighing in at just 11. 82oz, GF50mmF3. 5 R LM WR weighs less than a can of your favorite of soda. This makes it the perfect companion to bring along with you for your next street photography expedition.
  • Quick, responsive, and near-silent autofocus - Having fast and quiet autofocus is critical when youre roaming the streets looking for that perfect image. Thats why we made sure this lens also has a linear motor to move the focusing element quickly into place with precision.
  • Weather resistant to keep the images coming - Working in dusty or damp conditions is easy with this lens since it is weather sealed in ten places along the barrel. This also makes it capable of operating in temperatures down to 14F (-10C).

  • A pancake lens for medium format
In a lot of ways this the big brother of Fuji’s newest FX27mm. It is unpretentious, light weight, does not attract attention (much) yet is optically quite good. There have been a few published reviews that will tell you the lens is not perfect but I certainly did not see anything in the resulting images that I could object to. All the functional parts seem good to go: AF is quick enough, adds little to the weight and bulk of my GFX50R, aperture ring stays where you set it, clever little lens hoods that does it’s job AND it is claimed to be weather resistant but I have tried it out in the rain yet. Although it is “only” an f3.5 lens, I’ve had no problem using the thin DOF the separate the subject from the background. Actually, if one is new ti MF (I’m expanding from my X-series equipment) you need to watch for situation where you need lots of DOF as that is a bit trickier to obtain than with smaller formats. Weight: coupled to a GFX59R the whole thing weighs about the same as my X-H1 with fx16-55 f2.8 attached. Manageable, but it may not be my choice to take on strenuous hikes! (Lugging one of the 100mpx bodies with a zoom must feel like carrying a bowling ball. Glad I went for this minimal confoguration.) ... show more

  • It’s absolutely lovely!
I purchased this lens specifically because it’s a 40mm equivalent focal length. If you have never shot with a 40mm (eq.) lens it should be of note that framing wise it’s closer to 35mm then 50mm. Wider but not to wide, and closer to the human eye then both 35mm or 50mm (eq). This lens is fast for a gf lens, and sharp as well. The 3.5 aperture creates bokeh that was far more lovely then I expected and hasn’t hindered my creative process in any way. This lens is perfect for street shooting or environmental portraits, as well as studio work. The closest focusing distance is the one pitfall on this lens, creatively it would be nice to be able to get just a little closer. Distortion is a non issue which is pretty standard with all 40mm (eq) lenses. Vignetting is a non issue on this lens. Lens is quiet and precise as well. Price wasn’t a factor in my purchasing decision, but it was an added bonus as this is cheap for a gf lens. All in all it was a worthwhile investment. ... show more

  • Great Everyday Lens
This is the perfect walk around lens for the Fuji GFX System. I use with a GFX 50R and it pretty much lives on the camera. The smaller size is unobtrusive when in public, but this lens also works great in the studio. I highly recommend giving it a try.

  • Renewed lens sold as New
The lens was sold as New but it came with a Renewed sticker. If I knew it was a Renewed lens, I would have expected a lower price.

  • Focus is fast but it is not as sharp as most of fuji GF lenses.
Focus is fast but it is not as sharp as most of fuji GF lenses. Light weight and smallest lens for GFX system making it perfect for GFX50S, 50R and 100S as a carry around lens. Chromatic Aberration is visible when using it between F3.5-F5.6.

  • Delightful lens
I mostly use the GFX system for urban landscapes, and this isn't an obvious choice for that work. I bought the 50 because I wanted one lens that would make the camera fun to carry around and use informally. This lens scratches that itch perfectly. It's not small by most people's standards, but it's minuscule compared with others in the system. And it allows the camera to look and feel like a "regular" camera, rather than a major production tool. Optical quality is insanely good. It's one of the sharpest lenses in the GF system, and even the worst lenses in this system are better than most people have had the pleasure to use. There's just nothing here to complain about. It performs into the corners, has very little field curvature, very little flare in demanding conditions, very little distortion, essentially no chromatic aberrations (and I've used it with old versions of Lightroom that don't have a profile for this lens—so I've seen it uncorrected). Build quality is as good as it gets. Autofocus is quick and silent. Better than other lenses in the system. People make fun of the wee lens hood, but I like it. It actually works. Not as well as a petal hood, but surprisingly well for something so small and unobtrusive. Minimum focal distance is 55cm, which is a problem for some people. And minimum aperture, is, of course, only f3.5. Also a problem for some people. Compare to full frame at f2.8. Overall, I love it. It's not a lens that I actually need, but it's one that I'm very happy to have and use. ... show more
