I bought these because I have a couple Cub Cadet lawnmowers and they were never equipped with fuel shutoffs. I use one during the summer and the other one sits covered on a trailer as a spare. I'd rather not have fuel sitting in the carburetor for extended periods of time. They were easy to install and they don't seem to be leaking....yet. Time will tell, though. The fuel shutoff valves and clamps for a 1/4-inch fuel hose were received as described by the seller. One has been installed on the gas line between the gas tank and the fuel filter on a Kawasaki FR691V engine that is mounted on an Ariens IKON XD 52 Zero Turn Mower (See accompanying photo). Really only been on the fuel line for a couple hours but so far, so good. I replaced the fuel line and added the shutoff valve. I forgot and couldn't get my snowblower to start until I remembered to turn the valve on, so I'm pretty sure it's working. Also had a carb leak and used the shutoff to stop the flow, worked well. Hopefully the shutoff will keep the gas from gunking up the carbs in the future. ... show more
