  • High quality, fuel valve and Gromit
There’s nothing I disliked about this. It was the fastest install and really simple to do. I had a Coleman 5000 generator where the Gromit deteriorated installed and farted right up and works like a champ. I recommend highly.

  • Fuel shutoff and grommet
All was as expected and fit and worked perfectly.

  • Used on a 6500 watt Coleman generator. / it was not too hard.. See how I did it below
1. Remember to drain out your fuel tank as much as you can (if not all) fuel before you pull the old one out -- have a rag a the ready too. 2. to remove the old one- Gently pry down between the fuel tank and the old grommet with a medium flat head screwdriver. with the other hand pull down on the valve (old one) -- use a pair of work gloves / mechanic gloves - you will get a better grip and prevent cuts as it may pop out suddenly when applying pressure. As you pull down, use the screwdriver and work booth sides of the old grommet - side to side. #3. Installing the new one: Put a very mild film of grease or dielectric grease on the outside of the new grommet (the part that will plug back into the fuel tank. Push it in until the larger round side meets flush with the fuel tank. Then, apply a slight film of grease as noted above to the male plug piece below the filter screen, DO not apply the grease film to the filter screen it for obvious reasons. Gently align the filter screen up through the new grommet and once that is inserted then push it in the rest of the way with firm pressure until it "seats" in the grommet all the way. That should do it .. Check for leaks once you refill the tank. My application worked perfect -- no leaks and cut off the fuel as needed ... show more

  • Works great
Works great on my old generator. The old one had succomb to the long-term effects of old gas and was needing replaced. The shutoff knob seems a touch flimsy but works well.

  • Fits perfectly, durable replacement for stock part.
This metal gas tank/fuel line connector was a perfect fit to replace the plastic connector that came stock on my Craftsman YT3000 tractor. The original connector broke in half when I tried to remove it. The valve on the new connector is an added bonus because it allows me to replace the fuel filter without draining the tank. ... show more

  • Replaced the plastic tank shutoff valve on a 1977 Wheel Horse C-120.
One reviewer mentioned that to use a little dielectric grease (used on a spark plug boot) on the rubber bushing inside and out, but don't get it on the stainless steel stem. That said, so far no leaks and it works great. However, time will tell, but for now, and to my amazement, no gas is leaking out of the bottom of the gas tank. If anything, the plastic gas tank which is more than 45 years old would be the cause of the leak. Works great and I would recommend purchasing. ... show more

  • It’s Ok but cheap
It replaced a similar part on my 30 year old Wheelhorse garden tractor. It worked . The rubber bushing fit fine and was ok. The gas valve however is cheap crap . It was amazing how poor the quality was compared to the original part. I won’t open and close it too much that’s for sure.
