    • Broke first use
I bought this to help get a vehicle unstuck, we got it installed and when using the winch to pull it out it broke flush where it screws in. Should have gotten the ford branded one.

    • Great for emergencies
I got this since my car did not have one with it when I bought it. It's a good thing to have in an emergency. Especially if you live in an area that gets a lot of snow. It stores perfectly under the back panel with the spare tire. If you own an Escape, you know there is nowhere to hook onto if you need to tow or pull out your car from getting stuck. The small "door" in the grill has a threaded plate there to connect this to. I hope I never need to use it, but it's great to have just in case. ... show more

Why in the world would they not include the instruction manual? The hardest part of the install was finding the semi-hidden piece of the grill that has to be removed to install this. My tow hook is reverse threaded. Took me a few seconds to figure that out. Once a sufficient amount of torque is applied it sits perferctly vertical now. All in all - not bad.
