Was looking for a helmet for my 86 y/o father and his ebike. I knew he wouldn't like a regular bike helmet so I tried this one. I was extremely surprised with the quality ( I'd tried other non traditional styles and they were merely had plastic inserts). Based on the gentleman's review of the this helmet after his crash, I thought I'd give it a try. This helmet was stylish and met safely standards. My father found it to be quiet comfortable (you see he was easily able to take a post ride nap). He appreciate the style, light weight and brim for blocking the sun. This helmet is cute, but it's very thin & probably not the best at protecting your head. That being said, it's lightweight, fashionable, & I will use it. It runs large, so I had to return it for the smaller size.

I like this helmet mostly because of the look but also the bill that keeps the sun out of my eyes. I never liked to wear sunglasses. It might run a little big in size. Reasonably priced.

I'm from the old school when you didn't wear a helmet riding bikes/scooters but then again drivers weren't out to try and kill you when you did ride back then. Hence the purchase of the helmet. I personally do not like the style of bike helmets so I wanted one that looked more like a hat and this works perfectly. Helmet has a nice leather like feel, is lightweight and fits my head with a scarf on. The strap adjustment was a bit tricky but I finally got it to fit firmly. The padding is comfortable and didn't make me sweat during use. I haven't fallen with it on so I'm not sure how well it will protect you head but the inner shell is similar to that of the hard hat baseball helmets so I know they can take a ball being hurled at about 80 to 100 mph, I'm pretty confident it can handle a topple off a scooter going 20 mph... I personally don't want to find out... Lol. Overall item is well made and I believe it is a good purchase. UPDATE : JULY 16, 2021 Fell off my scooter on June 15th face down. Helmet took front fall pretty well (front of rim is scrapped up but my head is OK... My hands and knees are jacked up but my head is A - OK👌🏾) Glad to know the helmet works. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. A REAL helmet has three layers. The outer shell (for looks), the soft foam (for comfort) and the hard protective foam to absorb energy during a collision. THIS hat has the outer shell for looks, and the soft foam for comfort, but it DOES NOT have a protective layer! If you need something to fool your mom into thinking you've got a helmet, I guess this might work, but if you want something that will protect your head in an accident? Nope.
