  • Delicious, fresh, and balanced cup of coffee
Flavor Name: Colombian Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I’ve been regularly buying these beans for the last 5 months. I love that this coffee is freshly roasted. I get the Colombian Supremo and usually grind the beans right before I brew. This is the best coffee I’ve had in a long time. It is balanced without any bitterness or sourness to it. Truly a great value. I highly recommend! ... show more

  • excellent beans
Flavor Name: Organic Guatemala Huehuetenango Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
couldn’t be happier with these beans which happily are roasted locally (to me, in Pennsylvania) and fair trade. really enjoy the Guatemalan beans.

  • Inoffensive single origin
Flavor Name: Organic Guatemala Huehuetenango Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Pretty well balanced. Maybe too well balanced, it is a delightful cup, but not a ton of uniqueness. Slightly acidic, but more sessionable than the really acidic light roast. A pretty good cup of coffee.

  • A very pleasant surprise.
Flavor Name: Colombian Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I'm very pleased with this coffee. I keep several varieties of whole bean on hand so I can switch up my coffee when I feel like a change of pace. I have been using other brands of Colombian Supremo for a long time and it's hard to beat a good cup of Supremo. I wasn't completely satisfied with the others I had tried, they weren't bad but I knew there was better coffee to be had so when I worked my way through a bag of whole beans I'd order something else -- making my decision based on reviews and the percentage of 4 and 5 star ratings. I stumbled across this coffee and thought "why not?" It gets good reviews except for a few sour apples that are always present on any product. So I went ahead and ordered it, feeling that at this price there was little to lose and with the great reviews there might be a lot to gain. I'm glad I ordered this coffee because finally I'm satisfied with my stock of Colombian Supremo. I had bought several bags of Colombian Supremo and then moved on without reordering any of them. I'll be ordering this one again. It's always possible that I got a particularly good bag, that someone else didn't get a good bag, or that any single bag of beans isn't representative of a brand. One needs to bear such things in mind when ordering coffee beans online. It's not like you can taste the coffee before buying it. Still, none of the others I've tried in the last couple years was as good to my taste as this one so I'll try this one again. Another thing to keep in mind is that flavor is not an absolute. There are individual variances in the taste experience so what appeals to me may not appeal to others and vice-verse. I find this brand from the bag I got to be very full bodied and smooth with no bite and no bitterness. It's what I'm looking for in a Colombian Supremo and that is a very happy discovery. Especially being as it's significantly cheaper than other coffees that don't taste as well to me. Rather than write another review, if my experience with this brand changes for the worse I'll come back here and amend this one. If you don't see a dated update below then what I have to say about this coffee still stands. Update 17 March 2015: I noticed my stock of this coffee was running a little low, it's been six months since I bought this bag so I thought maybe some people would like to know how it stores and tastes after that amount of time. Bear in mind that I store all my coffees in air tight opaque containers, that's important if you're going to keep several varieties of coffee on hand and not use up any one variety quickly. I also store my coffees, pipe tobacco and cigars in a temperature and humidity controlled environment That probably isn't a big issue with air tight containers, I just have room for my coffees where I store my tobaccos. I know the "freshly roasted" snobs are going to turn their noses up so if you're one of them, go ahead and stop reading right now. I don't care what you have to say because taste is more important than theory to me. I know what tastes good to me, I won't benefit from anyone telling me that what I like I can't possibly like because blah, blah, blah. This coffee has stored extremely well. It has gotten even smoother and more mellow with storage but is still as bold as when I first opened the bag and dumped it in a container. This may be why some folks say a new bag doesn't taste like the one they got before, if the coffee has had time to mature between when the bag was first opened and when the new, freshly roasted bag was opened then there's going to be a difference in taste. I have enough of the first bag left that the bag I'm having delivered today will sit in it's air tight container for a while; but just to experiment I'll brew a pot with beans from the new bag when it comes to see if there's a difference. I'll try to come back and update this review when I've had time to evaluate the new bag of whole beans. So far I'm very pleased with this coffee and it's the only Columbian Supremo that I've ordered more than once from Amazon. If the new bag is as good as the first one I'm probably done searching for Supremo. If not, I'll let everyone know. ... show more

  • From a Cold Brew Snob:
Flavor Name: Organic Guatemala Huehuetenango Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
Try the Organic Guatemala if you like to make cold brew. So far ive tried Organic Peru and Organic Costa Rica. They werent bad, but I didnt care to have more. The guatemala wins by a mile on its bright flavor that will probably be better than 95% of cold brews you get at coffee shops.

  • See details, there are reviews for multiple coffees (Tarrazu, Organic Mexican)
Flavor Name: Organic Mexican Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I REALLY wish Amazon would separate these into their actual individual products, as it's unreasonable to review different coffees with entirely different profiles and roasts on the same review, but here we go. ============================== Edit - 6/25 - this portion of the review is for the Costa Rican Tarrazu, and I'd rate it... maybe 4 stars. I'm back and forth on it, but overall it's good, don't let the oiliness and roast smell out of the bag fool you. Recently a colleague from South America shipped me some local brand Tarrazu coffee from Costa Rica and I enjoyed it, it's a pretty nutty and floral experience. I figured I'd try Fresh Roasted's attempt. It didn't wow me at first and has a slight acrid scent right out of the bag, and is darker than I expected, but upon brewing it actually turned out better than anticipated. Flavor-wise, it's bright and a bit nutty. There's none of the floral while it's brewing, but it off gasses well and there's a hint of floral in the mug. Nutty and light is how I'd describe it. It's definitely a non-complex flavor profile, and singly nutty overall, but that's not a terrible thing. It's nice, and pleasant, even if it doesn't have the "wow" factor I get from the Brazil or Ethiopian roasts. I will say this one is very good with pour over. Still single note but the flavor profile really comes out well. I've done French Press and immersion brew with my Clever dripper on this and this one is actually pretty great with a finer grind via pour over. It's entirely possible some of the subtlety of the bean is lost with a french press brew. Half the enjoyment of coffee is finding out though. :) ============================== Edit, 5/18/2023 - bought the Organic Mexican coffee again to be sure the last bag wasn’t a fluke. It wasn’t. It’s just okay. I’d describe it as inoffensive. Better than most coffee of the grocery shelf but not by much. This is better than the likes of Dunkin’ Donuts or 8 o’clock, but a store brand like Gevalia is better. The Organic Mexican is at best a 3 out of 5. It's inoffensive, mildly better than store bought coffee, but there's better out there in this brand for the same price or less. Get the Brazil Minas Gerais, Tarrazu or one of the Ethiopian roasts instead. You won’t regret it. ============================== This original review is for the Organic Mexican, medium roast. Decent enough coffee for the price, but I'm not particularly impressed. I've really enjoyed the medium and light roast Ethiopian Yrgacheffe and Sidamo Guji, but this one's not as good in my opinion. Bag indicates flavor notes of cashew, pear, and brown sugar. You can taste the nutty hints, but the rest of the flavors are muted on the brew. There's pretty much no fruity notes at all, and I'd call this roast slightly on the bitter side, not getting the brown sugar. The ethiopian roasts were also light on the fruity notes, they were a bit muted compared to other roasters I've tasted, but at least it was there, and they're rather tasty when fresh. This one is just okay. It's certainly drinkable, and still better than most store bought coffee, but there's better out there for the price, and much better if you're willing to spend a bit more. ... show more

  • Yum! Smooth taste I’ve missed.
Flavor Name: Organic Honduran Marcala Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I use to buy ALDIs Honduran coffee beans. They stopped stocking it. I’ve been drinking other pod coffee for two months and missed the Honduran. This coffee is absolutely delicious. I enjoy grinding it fresh every week. 😋☕️
