  • SUPER Overpriced
Size: 10 Bags + Bucket
I ordered these to add my emergency groceries. The pictures in the ad made me feel like I was buying in bulk. The very high price seemed confirmation of this. I purchased two buckets. When they arrived, I was shocked by how little product was contained. I emptied one bucket into the other and determined I would not purchase such an overpriced product again. I recommend you purchase some else with a better value ... show more

  • Confusing date code
Size: 1 Bag
Although properly packaged freeze dried foods can last for upwards of 25 years, bagged foods such as these powdered eggs probably don't have that kind of shelf life. Also, since I don't know what conditions they were stored at, I'm more inclined to rotate this product in my stores quicker. As other reviewers have found, I received a bag that had two dates on it, both of which have passed. I'm not sure what either of them mean but since there are two of them, I would think they are Best By dates. There's no other codes on the packaging. I'm disappointed by the double date stickers. I'm not scared of the old Best By dates but I will use this first rather than using FIFO like I normally would with anything in my pantry. This package contains the equivalent of 12 eggs, which is pretty expensive, even with currently high egg prices. The FD eggs I normally purchase come in a #10 can (72 servings) and that works out to about half the cost per serving. That being said, if you are new to FD foods, this is a good size to try out to see how you like it and what you like to make with them. I would recommend upon opening, to put the leftovers in an airtight jar. Once a #10 can is opened, it's recommended to use the contents within 3-6 months. I would follow the same rule of thumb for these powdered eggs. ... show more

  • Delicious enough to eat all week and twice on Sunday's!
Size: 1 Bag
Product is as described and pictured. With that said, I highly recommend Whole Powdered Eggs as a premium emergency food supply. The 12 servings are perfect for camping, backpacking, or prepper supplies. The 25 year shelf life is an added bonus, making it a great investment for any survivalist. Preparing the eggs is incredibly easy, following the directions on the packaging. They have a taste that is similar to eggs, but with a unique flavor of their own. As a military guy, I can say that they taste like chow hall eggs, but in a better way. A little seasoning with some suzie salt, pepper pete and Mr. hot sauce can make them even more delicious. The packaging is also very convenient and easy to pack in a backpack. This makes it a great option for camping or hiking trips. In an end-of-times situation, this product would be a lifesaver. It is non-GMO, which is a huge plus, and has a long shelf life. I can't think of a better option for survival food. Overall, I highly recommend Whole Powdered Eggs to anyone looking for a high-quality emergency food supply. ... show more

  • good flavor
Size: 1 Bag
This has a good flavor to it. Not a concentrated flavor but a mild eggy flavor. I made what we always called a flapjack egg. I tasted it alone and also used it in a sandwich. I used butter when I cooked it. Next time, I will use bacon grease for a bit more flavor. When we were growing up, we only used this type of product in baking. It did not occur to us to use it as a stand alone product that you could use as an egg. I gave it a 5 star but if a half star was allowed I would give it a 4 1/2. Not because of the product but because the mylar bag that it is packaged in did not seal all the way in the zip lock portion and still will not stay together. The bag was sealed but not the part that comes apart for you to open and re close to keep it. I would much rather this came in a can than a mylar bag. ... show more

  • Emergencies, preparedness, camping, or just keeping long shelf life items in your pantry
Size: 1 Bag
What a great item to have. I’ll be using some of these for camping, and to have a few on the shelf just for what ever emergency may arrive. With a 25 year shelf life you can’t go wrong. Packaging seems really thick and durable. Seems like the bag will last even if you have to move it around a bit.
