I usually don't write long reviews, but this one will be a little lengthy. I really can't say enough good things about this helmet. It arrived well packaged and in good working order, with a fully charged battery. Everything on it functions precisely as advertised. I haven't had a chance to use the intercom function yet, but I will be purchasing a second helmet for my pillion because I am confident it will work well. Phone calls are perfectly doable, I've had them doing 60 mph and had zero issue hearing or being heard. The audio quality when listening to music is not high end stereo quality, but is fine , plenty loud enough, and above what I ever would have expected at this price point. Some people have stated that the sun screen is a little blurry to look through, it has a clear protective cover when shipped and it's perfectly clear when you remove it. The chin bar is easy to release and lift on the fly, and locks positively when pushed down. Wind noise with the helmet is perfectly tolerable, especially for a modular helmet design as opposed to a true full face. The helmet is well ventilated. The visor is easy to lift and lower and seals off quite well. It is not too heavy, and is quite comfortable to wear. I searched for months and you absoulutely will not find a helmet with a better value than this one. Anything comparable to the features and quality of this helmet is going to cost you over 800 dollars, and you really reach a state of dimminishing returns for your money at that point. There is literally nothing I don't like about this helmet. On top of receiving a good product, the customer service I have received from the seller had been excellent. I took the advice of many other reviewers and ordered a size up from what I normally wear, only to find that the helmet was too large. I posted a question on amazon asking if there was a place I could purchase a smaller liner to put into the helmet, and within fifteen minutes the seller answered with the message "please contact us as soon as possible." I did, and within minutes they responded again offered to send me a smaller liner for the helmet free of charge! Seriously, that kind of service alone is worth giving these folks my business. Coupled with the fact that it is a genuinely good product for a more than reasonable price, I would HIGHLY recommend this helmet. I will be buying another very soon, and probably one of their stand alone intercom to loan to friends I ride with so we can communicate. ... show more

Included gloves that are to small for me as I need XXL and came with XL to match helmet size. Did I miss where to add for glove size? Looking on site for information to contact to get correct glove size XXL. The quality, looks and function is above average and the size is also correct so it fits perfectly and feels good. The ratchet release is very nice and user friendly. Haven’t had a chance to use the Bluetooth but if as good as the helmet I will be very happy.     • Customer service makes it work
The few shops within an hour of where I live had very limited helmet stock, and none fit, so I was forced to go online to purchase a helmet. Not good, when fit is so very important. This helmet is overpriced for what it is, but the willingness of the seller to send different liners to help get the fit just right made the difference. It arrived pretty quickly, and after trying it on I contacted the seller to say I needed more padding in the crown of the helmet and less in the sides. They quickly sent me two different sized liners that allowed me to customize the fit. The gloves and goggles that were included with the helmet are alright; the gloves are protective and have lots of vents for hot weather riding, and while they fit on the hands, the wrist closure is too tight and I have to leave it open. Not a big deal. I don't wear goggles for riding, but they'll get use this winter for running the snowblower and I needed a new pair for that, so that worked out. The on board speaker/mic system isn't fantastic, but it was easy to connect it with my phone and it's adequate. I didn't like the giant FreedConn logo on the back of the helmet, but I covered it with a strip of reflective tape. I also really hate the "speed closure" thing on the chin strap, it never lines up just right without fussing with it and it's awkward to find the little ribbon to open it. I'd much prefer the old D ring style. Pros: Quick seller response and additional liners for proper fit. Drop down sun visor. Faceshield is clear and doesn't cause blurriness. Using both the sun visor and the faceshield at the same time, vision is still clear without optical distortions. Pairs to phone easily. Speakers adequate for a bit of background music. Callers can hear what I'm saying even when going down the road at 55. (I haven't attempted to make any calls when riding, so not sure how smooth that process is.) Not too heavy, I don't feel neck strain even after a longer ride. A usable, comfortable helmet that arrived quickly when I couldn't buy anything locally. Cons: Only DOT rated, which is rather meaningless. Not sure how the helmet will perform if I should happen to have an accident. Drop down sun visor isn't dark enough, I'm going to have to add some window tint to it or something. Speakers are tinny and won't satisfy someone who is in to really zoning out to detailed music while riding. Very annoying connection on chin strap. Phone connection doesn't give you an option for refusing calls. So unless I pull over, dig the phone out my pocket, and look to see who is calling, I'm at the mercy of any fool telemarketer bugging me during my ride. Overall, a comfortable, usable helmet that got me through my first season of riding again after 30 years. Paid too much, but saved me from trying to drive two hours to a bigger city in the hopes of finding a helmet at a shop somewhere. So probably made up for it in gas money. 4 stars. ... show more
