  • Excellent Quality TV, Even Better Customer Support!
Size: 32 Inch
1 year review: Right out of the box, the Transit 32" has worked flawlessly. Picture quality, inputs/outputs, light-weight, easy-to-navigate and intuitive User Interface. By the way, at the same time we purchased a Transit 28" with DVD player, an excellent device as well. At 10 months the TV would power on but not boot up (blue LED but no startup screen). I contacted Customer Support at Free Signal. After a bit of troubleshooting, and a couple of emails, a replacement TV was delivered within a few days. Inside was a return label to return the original Transit. The key to all of this wonderful support is the TV was within the ample one-year warranty when I contacted Customer Support. So on the rare occasion that you have issues with your Transit TV, please contact Customer Support! They are very responsive and truly care about the products they sell and support! ... show more

  • Light weight, good viewing angles, great picture, works well on a boat
Size: 32 Inch
Our boat had an older 110v flat screen and we replaced it with this 12v 32". The resolution is 720, not 1080 or 4K. Better power usage and still HD. They make a 1080 if it is needed. Draws around 49 watts. Sound is acceptable but it's not a high powered sound bar. I may connect it to the sound system on the boat. It's nice on days when the weather isn't, it is also handy to connect a small computer to for navigation information while you are below. The USB jack on the TV has enough power to run a Raspberry Pi computer but it will give the low power warning. We use it for the navigation display and to stream movies/ TV. Any sturdy mount will work, this TV is viewable from all angles so a mount that was adjustable wasn't necessary for our use. ... show more

  • Great for boondocking
Size: 32 Inch
We've been camping together for 40 years, and have camped primarily in the National forests for the last 14 years. That means, we rarely have electricity to use the TV that came with our travel trailer. Of course, we never really cared whether or not we had a TV unless severe weather came in. Cell signals are sketchy at best, but often we don't have a signal at all unless we leave the camp and drive a while. After getting caught in a tornado last year (which we did not learn until the following day when we left the campground and saw all the road closures, with down trees everywhere) we put a priority on purchasing a good 12-volt TV. When it came time to deciding, I really only looked at price. We already knew this brand, as we had one in our RV. We didn't have any problem with it, even though we repeatedly took that RV into dispersed sites, which are accessed by two tracks. That TV handled all the bumping and jarring it took to get to camp. The sound on a 12-volt TV isn't nearly as loud as 120 volt, but we just patch it through our stereo, which is necessary if you want to play a DVD anyway. The bottom line is, this TV has a decent picture, and will take the beating road travel gives it. ... show more

  • Good smart TV to run off of RV battery
Size: 32 Inch
When traveling with our camper we sometimes overnight at Walmart or Cracker Barrel. It’s nice to enjoy some TV after a long day on the road but we don’t have a generator so we wanted a good sized TV that would run off of the rig’s battery. This 32” smart TV is great and you’d never know it wasn’t a standard household TV. It’s very lightweight but sturdy. It also comes with an adapter that allows you to plug into 110 when available. Many RV fridges are 12 volt only now, so it’s good to plug into a regular outlet when you can and not have the worry fresh food might be compromised by running down the battery with the TV. ... show more

  • Not worth the money
I don't understand why this TV cost so much, I think the build quality is poor and it has few features, it's not a smart TV, doesn't even have an ethernet port, it's an extremely overpriced cheap TV. In my opinion you're better off getting a regular TV and if bouncing down the road in an RV breaks it, you could probably buy three more for the cost of this one. The most annoying function of the TV is using the remote control, I complained about the first one and they sent me a new one and it's only slightly better, it's like you can't find the right position to hold it to get the channels or the volume to work, if you want to change channels you have to press it about five times to get it to move one channel, same thing with the volume, sound quality is very poor, the only reason I wanted it was so I could wire it to my battery bank and not run my inverter which drains the battery faster. UPDATE: 1/23/23, I tried to make this update to the one I had previously made today, but there's one other thing about this TV, the first time I tried to use the DC power cord it melted the plug. I emailed free Signal transit on their website and told them what happened, they said they would replace the cord that it was a known problem and they had a redesign cord they would mail out, however I got the impression they were not doing this for people who had bought the TV, only ones who had written them about the melted plug. Fortunately I caught mine before it caused a fire, the spring on the fuse actually popped out breaking the connection before it got hot enough to catch anything on fire, but it was hot enough to burn me when I touched it... ... show more

  • Second disappointment
Size: 28 Inch
Second attempt in 2 years to order a 12 volt tv for the rv. This one seemed to work. I disposed of the packaging. Now when you turn it on it defaults to the setup wizard and you can’t stop it until it’s finished. I don’t recommend this tv.

  • Graet tv for an RV
Nice and lite. The only issue, and I have not read the instructions yet, is it reprograms the stations each time I turn off and back on the tv. This may be from not setting it up correctly. The picture quality is not of an expensive tv. But the trade offs are worth it. It runs off 12 volt and is very lite so it can be mounted almost anywhere. I mounted it on an electric ceiling mount. This way it folds up and out of the way when not using it. ... show more
