  • FRACTAL DESIGN POP XL AIR RGB BLACK
Color: RGB Black TG Clear Tint Size: XL Style: Air
FRACTAL POP XL AIR RGB BLACK Fractal has been releasing awesome cases recently and this is no exception. The case is build sturdy and feels high quality. The metal panels are stiff and does not bend. The side panels are easy to take off and the back is very roomy. Building in this case was real nice. However, due to it's size and materials, it is heavy even without hardware. There is no handles to hold, so it's difficult to carry. This is an airflow focused case, so all of the panels are perforated. Issues: Stock fans are terrible. The argb is quite nice and the diffusion plastic helps dim the shininess of the led. However, the fans do not move a lot of air. It struggles to suck air through the vents in the front panels. I had to replace stock fans because it fails to keep my components cools. Also, it does not come with USB C port. Technically you can buy an accessory that allows you to use the front USB C port, but the fact that you have to purchase it separate knocks down some points. Overall, this is a high quality case, well built, and mechanically niche case(certain things that make this case easy to work with). Though it lacks USB C and good stock fans, it's four free fans and all argb. I would pay $150 for better fans and the USB C port because this case has potential. ... show more

  • This case is for all Music Producers!!!
Color: Black Solid Size: Mini Style: Silent
If you are a music producer or a creator and are in the market for an SFF case then look no further. This case is lined with sound deading foam which will absorb the sound coming from the fans. So youtube reviews say that the airflow on this case is not good but if our temperatures are in range I wouldn't worry about it. And if you just want it cooler just go with after-market fans instead of the ones that come with the case. ... show more

  • Bigger then I imagined
Color: RGB Black TG Clear Tint Size: XL Style: Air
Got the XL, forgot how big full tower cases are still very nice though. My only complaint is the USB-C connection that is built into the case requires a separate piece that isn't included in order to use.

  • Good concept, 3-Issues
Color: Black Solid Size: XL Style: Silent
The idea of a quiet PC that has two 5.25 slots in the front for Optical and remmovable drives is great. The issues with the POP XL Silent are not obvious until after you build an air cooled PC and it is too late to return the case. Fractal Design's parts sales policy ensure that you have to buy another case. For this reason I give it a 3. ISSUE #1. To use the front panel USB-C port the case advertises, you have spend $35 extra for the Fractal Designs custom cable at Amazon. That is 1/3 the price of the entire case. (Come on Fractal Design, just throw it in the box and charge the $5 reasonable cable cost.) ISSUE #2: Stock fans are inadequate for air cooling. - Rear case fan is 120mm that exhausts 32 ft^3/min. A noctua D15 CPU air cooler that ends up pointing at at the rear exhaust fan, moves 83 ft^3/min. For air cooling you need a good 140mm rear case fan that exhausts at least 90 ft^min. (all at max, pwm will drop speed when not needed) - Front intake fan grill space only permits 3x120mm fans (larger fans just blow air into sheet metal). Stock fans only move 32 ft^3/min. Barely enough for the CPU cooler and mb. Nothing left for graphics cards. Need 3x120mm intake fans that can each move 80 ft^3/min. (all at max, pwm will drop speed when not needed. ISSUE #3. Air intake grill on the solid front is only a small holed strip on the right side. It does not take much dust to clog it. It would not have been so bad if there had also been one on the other side. As is, one side panel is longer than the other one. Fractal will not sell a separate mesh front. ======= UPDATE If you are contemplating air cooling, the airflow in the POP XL Silent through the small air intake panel is NOT sufficient to cool a Ryzen 7590x and Nvidia RTX 3090 ti running low to moderate loads, regardless of the fans used. You will need to remove the front panel to run higher loads, let alone add another heat source like a second graphics card. And that is not quiet. This is NOT acceptable for a case that claims to take E-ATX motherboards. If you are going to use high-end CPUs, GPUs and E-ATX mbs, do not get this case. ... show more

  • Great Case
Color: RGB Black TG Clear Tint Size: Mini Style: Air
The media could not be loaded. Great case. Good cable management. Great airflow. aRGB fans look good and are quiet. I like the fact that it can accommodate an optical drive for backing up my movie collection in addition to adding a 5.25" card reader instead of having external devices, especially in a mATX size factor. Plenty of room for 2.5" SSDs and 3.5" hard dives for extra storage/backups. The case is great but isn't perfect for the following reasons: 1) The front/top I/O is rotated 90 degrees. I think it should be parallel to the front of the case. 2) The USB-C port on the front I/O is not included and I can't find it on Amazon. It was probably done to reduce cost, but at this point I think everybody wants a USB-C. I guess they assume everybody uses an external USB hub off the motherboard I/O. 3) I would love to see a mounting point for the 2.5" SSD sled on the inside of the vertical back panel near the front of the case. 4)I know that nearly all cases have the glass on the left side - I really want the glass on the right side. Overall, a great, clean looking case. ... show more
