  • Perfect size
Color: Black Dark TG Style: TG Dark Tint
This is my 5th fractal design case. I have a couple HTPC cases that I use for unraid. My last desktop was a define 7. I had a Blu-ray drive which is why I got the 7 but it was large and I ended up not using the Blu-ray drive very much. I moved the components here and will repurpose that case to a server storage build instead. This case is hosting ryzen cpu with rtx 3080 card. The fit is perfect for most people who don’t run a 5.25 drive. Thermals may be a little worse since the front doesn’t open but noise is perfect. Side panel, front and top all open without tools. Great and easy to build in. I have no regrets. ... show more

  • Top quality and easy to work with
Color: Black Dark TG Style: TG Dark Tint
This was the first time I've put a computer into a case, but it was super easy with this Fractal case. Everything is thoughtfully laid out so you have enough space and enough options to route your cables. And it really feels sturdy and good quality; all the clips and connectors feel durable and are easy to use. My only observation is that the airflow through the front mesh may not be enough if you're building some kind of super dooper gaming rig that creates tons of heat. But my setup is a Dell X51 with an Intel i7 4790 and a small graphics card (GTX 1660) which used to run off a 330W power supply, and there's ample airflow for that. My CPU and GPU temps are around 40 degrees even while I'm gaming, using a Noctua air cooler for the CPU and Kraken G12 with a 120mm EVGA AIO for the graphics card. And yes the case is deep enough to fit a 140mm Noctua CPU cooler! And the case is quiet; Good Lord it's quiet. I can't hear any fan noise at all unless I turn my house's AC off. Which is nice because I use the same computer for work! ... show more

  • Good but no headset connector, and large
Color: Black Dark TG Style: TG Dark Tint
Very disappointed about not being able to connect a headset, there are only separate mic/speaker connectors. I am also not sure why do you need to save on connections, this case had relatively good connections, but there is only one UCB-C on the front. For such a large case there is space for 10-20 connectors if they wanted to, not sure why to save the place. At least there are 4 USB type A connectors on the front. Also it is very big, not a compact case at all, I haven't seen a larger one before, it's the same size as my PC from the early 2000s. ... show more

  • As expected!
Color: White Style: Solid
Case came in just fine. I typically don't like the RGB setups and so I love how sleek and simple this one is. Perfect condition, and lighter in weight than the previous case I had. The side panels snap on so easily! And cable management was well thought out. Good case!

  • OMG in love with case
Color: White Style: TG Light Tint
What can you say its Fractal Desgin. They have pulled it off again bought the same case 2 weeks prior but in the black version, then 2 weeks later the white one came out and I had to have it so I bought it and bought all the other stuff to build another computer. With all the rgb and lights on this case it brings smiles to me everytime it gets turned on. everyone always complements me on what a nice case this is. Very easy to build in with the atx form factor so versatile make it how you want it they have thought about everything to make your build your way ... show more

  • High Quality, easy access and clean look
Color: Black Dark TG Style: TG Dark Tint
I have purchased many retail computers over the years and the quality of this case is far better than Dell, HP, or Lenovo. Extremely easy to work on and no tools are requires except for a Philips screwdriver to loosen the thumb screws on the drive carriages. The wire management is excellent too. I have 3 fans in the case, a Ryzen 7 CPU fan , and 2 fans on the graphics card. I can’t hear anything. I went with the dark glass side and like it. Great purchase. ... show more

  • Fractal Short Review
Color: White Style: Solid
The media could not be loaded. Ordered the case with the only thing missing being the IO shield. Not necessary but I know some people want them. Easy to remove/install panels; way smoother than screws while still retaining tightness. Compact case but there was still plenty of room for 5 of my fans and a 3080 gpu. Very nice slick simplistic design. ... show more

  • PROS: design, size, and front ports.
Color: Black Dark TG Style: TG Dark Tint
I bought the fractal design S2 initially but I underestimated how big it was. I stuck with the same brand because I like the design and the front ports. I had a hard time finding front panel USB C and 4 usb ports. The compact 7 does feel a bit cheaper internally than the S2 but once everything is closed it looks just as good. Be careful as there are sharper edges on this case. Cable management had to be neater in the back since the sides just pop into place with no screws. I have a fully modular power supply and an M.2 so it wasn't too tricky for me. If you put in a hard drive you have to get an L shaped sata cable to fit or move the cage horizontally so the panel can close. Benefits outweigh the cons for me so I'm happy. ... show more
