When it arrived i was disappointed at first because handle slides out of net and clicks into place. Thought it was extremely short and threw in boat for next trip and stewed over it. Got boat ready last week and noticed another grip on handle and gave it a twist and realized it was longer than I thought. Easy quik twist and coated net for no hook penetration in net strands.     • Nice net but would be nice if the handle had a lock in the closed position.
I have been using this net for a few trips now and in general really like the net. A couple of improvements I would like to see is to have a locked position for the handle when it is collapsed. Without a lock the handle just slides out a couple of feet when you try to carry it with the handle. The collapsed position only works when the net is stowed but is useless when carried. There is a spring button in the open position to lock but nothing when collapsed. It would also be nice to have a lanyard loop at the end of the handle. Took off the cap to see if I could install my own but the design of the cap makes it difficult to drill out a hole to install one. ... show more
