This is a great tool to keep in you car, I've never used a scanner but this scanner was self explanatory plug it in hit ok and it will give you the codes that are causing your check engine light to light up, you can also press on the code and then scanner will give you a brief description of the problem and how to fix it, it also will clear all codes for a fresh scan to see if you have fix the issues great easy tool to have and the software updates are free they supplied the correct cord to plug into your computer or laptop to install the new updated firmware when needed. This code reader has been fantastic. As a Smog Technician, I use it on every vehicle to make check the status of the monitors. It’s easy to navigate, and would be useful and a generic code reader, if a check engine light appeared. I saw some live data but have not needed to use it yet. This code scanner comes without a physical user manual; this makes its use next to impossible for people who never used a scanner. Fortunately, there are good online tutorials available. To add a manual for gadgets like this one, detailed manuals should be obligatory.
