It was also difficult to evenly spread the foundation without streaks. This was a GAME CHANGER!!! Applying my foundation is not only faster, but it spreads evenly and without streaks. I do not need to with this brush, but I now use a beauty blender to just dab my foundation into my skin because I prefer the look of that. The bristles are soft, but they are compact so everything goes on evenly, clearly, and without streaks. It's so easy to use and is not too small for your hand. I'll never go back to just using a beauty blender only. I will forever use this. MASSIVE FAN OF THIS! I highly recommend this to anyone debating investing in a foundation brush. This is incredible quality, especially for the price. But please know that just because this is cheaper, they did not sacrifice quality ANYWHERE in this product. This is a very nice brush and is incredibly soft. It applies makeup very softly and evenly. I think it will take a little practice, it's quite different from using a sponge, but the results are very good. It also includes a nice plastic case, which I think is very important because it will require little extra care - can't be just tossed in a makeup bag, as it's important that the bristles don't get mashed. Ok for the price? I was skeptical of the reviews. But I had been thinking about going back to using brushes from sponges for my foundation already when I came across this one. I figured I'd give it a shot since it was so inexpensive. First impression? When I first opened it, it was a little smaller than I was picturing, but wow was it soft! The brush is really densely packed too. Like more so than any brush I own, regardless of price point. The pink is just cute. And the case that keeps it clean and protects the brush is great. Every time I use it, bout half way theough the blending process, I think the same thing. "Omg, this is not going well" but by the end? Wow. It blends foundation out so well. Using this brush makes the makeup look much more natural than a sponge does. Don't get me wrong, sometimes when I feel like I need extra coverage, I still use my sponges, but even then, I've been using this brush to blend down my neck and into my hairline. I'm honestly just so impressed. There are not that many Amazon products that blow me away, inexpensive or otherwise, but this one has. It's a legit unicorn. If you're on the fence, go ahead, just order it. You've got almost nothing to lose, and so much more to gain. I highly recommend! 10/10 ... show more

Bought this on a whim as it was on sale. I'm used to using a smaller Kabuki brush to apply my foundation and concealer. I thought this brush did very well in spreading the foundation out evenly. However, as I have acne and tend to pick, I need to build up the foundation and concealer to cover the red spots. I found it difficult to do with this brush, so I'll stick with my Kabuki for makeup. That being said, the brush is VERY soft - my kids kept playing with it! Because I got it on sale, it's not worth returning, but I love the idea another review had of using it to apply self-tanner. I bought this to use with a powder foundation I'm getting. So I'm using it till then with a liquid foundation. So far it's an amazing brush. It's the first one of its type I've used so I don't have much experience with other flat brushes. I am an artist, however, so I do know a well made brush when I get one. This is a beautifully made brush. I believe it's synthetic- not Sable. Still functions beautifully. I'll see how it does with the powder foundation soon and update. ... show more

I bought this because I needed to replace my old brush. This new brush does not blend well into my skin. I read previous reviews that says it is hard to use in the T-zone and around the eyes, but I would add that I don't feel it evely coats my skin when using it for liquid foundation. The quality of the brush is good. The bristles are very dense and super soft. The travel case that comes with it is genius. I just don't like the application. It could be because I am not the most experienced with makeup, but I am a daily user and I think a traditional style brush works better for the purpose. ... show more

This makeup brush had great reviews and I needed a new one so I gave it a try since it was so inexpensive. Honestly, it’s pretty amazing. I’m 45 and don’t wear a ton of makeup but I do wear a cc cream with sunblock everyday. The application is so easy, no streaking and perfect blending and so far no shedding bristles. For the price point I’d say add this into your makeup bag…even if you just want a sunblock applicator! ... show more
