    • Never knew I needed it!
I bought this watch on a whim, during the black friday sale. I'm a bit of a computer and android geek, and the WearOS watches have always intrigued me, but I never felt like I really needed one. My #1 issue with the watch (and this is mainly WearOS) is that it still seems slightly under-baked. I know WearOS 3 is coming and all that, but WearOS 2 is quite good overall, and yet it reminds me of the earlier android days. So close, but not quite there yet. Setup was fast and easy, but the occasional annoying glitch (e.g. it disconnects from my phone almost every time I take the watch off when my phone is charging) keeps me from 100% enthusiastically recommending it to non-tech friendly friends/family. Stuff I love: workout tracking. This is probably the number 1 reason I bought the watch. I work out daily, and I love the tracking features of the watch. Blood oxygen is a nice added bonus to go with the workout tracking. Notifications & the ability to respond to messages from my watch--this is so nice when I'm out, and my phone is in my purse or pocket. Being able to ring my phone when I leave it somewhere in the house, and don't remember where. Did I mention that the watch itself is really nice looking?? I love that the Fossil looks like an actual watch and not some crappy plastic smartwatch. I have two bands for it -- the silicone one it came with, and I picked up the metal mesh band from Fossil, as well. Despite the Galaxy Watch 4's superior features (and WearOS 3), I never even considered it -- it looks too much like a smartwatch. I'm a Samsung phone owner, too. Stuff I don't love: the slightly buggy quirks. Sometimes the watch just refuses to connect to my phone. I can toggle the connection over and over in the WearOS app on my phone, and it still won't connect. Only rebooting the watch at that point will solve the problem. If you never take the watch off, you may never see this, but since I don't use sleep tracking (it creeps me out), I take it off at night and leave the watch to charge in a separate room from where I'm sleeping. Overall, this watch is a solid buy. I'm using it with a Samsung Z Flip 3 phone. 99% of the time, it functions flawlessly -- if they could iron out that 1% of quirks, I'd be recommending it to anyone and everyone. ... show more

    • Really nice looking and practical too!
My wife flat out loves this watch. It syncs to her Samsung Flip (Android) without issue. We had a previous gen too and she was happy with that as well. She loves it because: 1. No fishing around for your phone in the pocketbook when a message/call comes in 2. The battery easily lasts all day 3. With a quick glance at her wrist, she can see if a message is important or can wait 4. A little more dressy looking than sports-like watch 5. Durable 6. Change the watch face to echo her mood The only thing she did get to make her experience better was a magnetic watch band to replace the band that came with the watch. I wish this hold charge longer and extra charging cable. But most of all, I wish the app works better. Saying that, however, fossil is more watch company than tech company. And I haven't found any replacement that fulfill the design. I love how it look when I wear. It's gorgeous. And charges super fast. As far as app, I need to connect to Google fit then Fitbit.. previously, I had amazfit, which the app was great and watch is decent. I really thought of returning this and get similar amazfit. But I'm the end, I liked this design too much. Wish it had more app compatibility... ... show more

    • Love my watch!
I absolutely love this watch! It is amazing! I can answer phone calls and reply to text messages. I love how it has a sound notification for messages from my phone! I love how it gives me the date, steps, ox, and sleep data on the screen of the watch. The only thing is the battery doesn't last long, 2 days max. But I am active as a teacher and 2 small kids so I charge it in the mornings and it's ready to go!!! I have no complaints and have actually liked this watch better then other brand smart watches that I have bought before! ... show more

    • Very disappointed especially for the price
When it works it's very functional. The problem is it will not stay connected to the fossil smartwatch app. And the only way to get it to reconnect to the app is to factory reset the watch, and to me that renders the watch useless, I do not want to have to constantly re-download apps, re-add my 💳 cards and no real ability for it to track anything fitness wise for more than a day at a time because of constantly factory resetting. Apart from that it does get extremely hot when charging, it does require charging twice a day but for me that is fine especially because it charges quickly. It does constantly freeze and the apps crash. But I love that it has functionality that I haven't found in other smart watches, I need a smartwatch that has everything Alexa, fitness, sleep tracking, and being able to call and text. And when this watch connects it does great for those things but it will not stay synced to the app. The strangest part is that in the Bluetooth section the watch will say that it's connected to the phone and my phone will say it's connected to the watch but on the main screen of the watch it will not show connectivity. I also really love the find my phone feature, but again when it loses connectivity that feature is useless. I have already started the return process and I am in search of a new better actually smart watch. ... show more

    • The longest the battery lasts is about 7-hours.
It sure is not standing up to its name. It is not worth the extra money you pay for it, to be a Fossil. I am very disappointed in it. I have deleted app after app to get the battery to last longer.
