This is downright gorgeous. I had an original Fossil smartwatch in 2018 that was somewhat primitive. This version is much more functional and has more features than I'll probably use. I have a few minor quibbles. 1. The band is supposed to be leather and silicone but it feels mostly like silicone. I'll upgrade to nice leather at some point. 2. The weather screen does not show current temperature. The only way you can see current temp is to use a watchface that allows you to add the temp widget. 3. Setting a button to the workout dashboard brings up the workout menu instead. You still have to scroll to the dashboard. 4. My favorite watch face is Stella, but that one cannot have the data changed. You can use custom faces with your choice of data displays, but I prefer the look/style of the Stella. 5. In the workout section, automatic tracking starts after a specific number of minutes. Walking, for instance, starts tracking after 10 minutes. If you walk for 15 minutes though, the watch face data shows you were active 5 minutes. Inside the app it shows the full 15. Odd. You can also start various types of workouts manually. All in all these are minor things to me. Someday I do hope to have an SOS feature. I'm not a fan of most smartwatches or the digital screens. This one has physical watch hands and the e-ink display is much more pleasant to look at. Overall I love this thing! ... show more

i wanted to love this watch. i had it for only a week and it completely died. i returned it and replaced it with another of the same watch. i had the new one for only two weeks and it also completely died. not the battery, it was at a 70% charge this morning when i checked it. by 11:21am it was dead. would not accept a charge, just like the first one. i was mostly happy with it while it was working. i got the watch so i wouldn't have to keep looking at my phone to see the time and to get notifications of calls and texts. it worked well for this unless i was too far from my phone and then it would disconnect. i mean, if i didn't take my phone to the bathroom, it would disconnect. i had to always manually connect it as it wouldn't automatically connect when i got back into Bluetooth proximity. fossil sent an email detailing a fix, but it didn't fix it. manual connection was annoying but not impossible. too bad, pretty watch, nice size and weight but both were duds. not trying again. will look for another brand. ... show more

Just what I wanted, activity tracker and let’s you see/hear notifications as long as you are somewhat near your phone (same room), syncs back up quickly once you are near phone again. I didn’t need everything an apple watch has, nor did I want to pay that price so this was perfect. Battery life is insane, I’ve gone 3-4 days with no charge and no problem. Pros: Analog face, customize face, metal band, find my phone, battery life Cons: Disconnects ALL THE TIME, reconnect doesn't always work, unable to edit sleep times I wanted the hybrid so I could have a semi-normal watch. I wanted a step counter without all the other stuff & I wanted to read a watch without a screen. I have had this watch for 3.5 months & I cannot STAND how often my watch disconnects from my phone. It takes forever to reconnect some days or multiple tries. It's ridiculous. I can be in my bathroom (attached to my room) & it'll disconnect or if I put my phone on the counter in the kitchen & will disconnect while I'm in the kitchen. I'm about to toss this aside & buy a Garmin or FitBit so I don't have to keep reconnecting my phone to my watch. I wish this was better. ... show more

I got this for Christmas and I really like it. I wasn't sure that I'd like the look on my wrist but I've fallen in love with it. So pretty! I've been charging it about once a week with as much as I exercise. If you're less active, you can probably charge it less often. I did choose a watch face that shows the time digitally because I have a difficult time reading the time in the dark. The light just isn't enough to really show where the hands are and it doesn't stay on for very long. I was hoping that it would connect to my Supernatural exercise app but I haven't had success there yet. Even so, I feel that it does a good job of keeping track of my heart rate. You can't read long texts, etc on the face but there's enough to tell you if you should grab your phone or not. I feel connected without being chained to technology. I do have a difficult time with the sleep portion on the app as it isn't very user friendly but that's really the only complaint that I have. ... show more

    • I am losing so much weight so much faster with fossil!
I like everything about it. It has a super long battery life, it takes away that constant obsession of looking at numbers that aren’t valid like I did with my fit it. The active calories and daily calorie counts are valid. I can tell by my weight loss. I do not know how to explain it, but this is so much better than my Fitbit and I’m really glad that I decided to finally get one. I’ve been wanting one for a long time. I did not expect such a difference in my progress because it is the only thing I’ve changed, all the data is there. I can look at it anytime I want to. I can even toggle through it on my phone or my watch. It is just nice to not constantly have it glowing in my face and on my mind I highly recommend giving it a try and seeing what happens. 🙂 ... show more
