  • Phenomenal for 2.1 subwoofer amp!
I've been using a Fosi TB10A for a pair of Overnight Sensations for a little over three years and the quality has been incredible. Great control, even better sound. It doesn't take much for the OS's to sound really nice, but the amp is a perfect mate for near field listening in the office. There's plenty of headroom if needed. I decided to add a subwoofer to my office so I built one using some older Kenwood drivers. Built an enclosure for them, and added the TP-02 from Fosi. So far, it's PLENTY for the subwoofer. Wired at roughly 2.5 ohms. Tons of headroom left. I will point out that there is a sweet spot for wattage output. Just play with the Sub Freq control and volume. I obviously can't get on it too hard since it's in an office setting, but this little amp coupled with the fact I used a lot of cubic footage for my box, the output is IMPRESSIVE. Clean down to around 25 Hz. I would highly recommend this amp or the TB10A for any one using a 2.1 setup. ... show more

  • A satisfactory little amplifier for the money!
I own a Buttkicker 1000-watt subwoofer amplifier that I had hooked up to a custom-built coffee table subwoofer with a single 2ohm 600watt rated 12" sub in it, for my living room home theater system, but that amp has started to fail recently so I purchased this as a quick, cheap replacement, not expecting much. I unboxed it and proceeded to replace the full-sized Buttkicker subwoofer amplifier with this rather small and unassuming box and power it up. I fired up Amazon Prime Music and selected one of my playlists, and let it start playing, and to my absolute amazement, this little amp really rips! I don't have it turned up all the way, but it is almost there, and definitely higher than I would have the Buttkicker volume knob turned up to, and it is a serious little performer! It sounds as good as the big amp does, albeit not quite as loud, but I am not trying to shake the whole house and share my music with my neighbors either. If you're looking for an inexpensive, but reasonably powered subwoofer amplifier for a small home theater system or other home project, I can honestly recommend this one. It is not going to shake your whole house, or break windows, but it will definitely give you the lows you're looking for when paired with the right subwoofer enclosure and enhance your home theater experience a great deal. I actually plan on purchasing at least two more of these for my other two entertainment systems (bedroom and outdoor gazebo) so that I can finally add more low-end oomph to those too. ... show more

  • It is a sub amp, it does what it says, and very well! Thing is TINY!
I was looking for a small sub to go with some small speakers on my desk, and found a Velodyne MicroVee, but it didn't work, so I got it for free. Figured out that the amp was toast. This sub is very highly regarded and I considered just selling it "for parts / as-is," but having never heard of this subwoofer company before and doing some research, after reading all the raving reviews I was too curious about how it sounded, so I ordered this amp to power it. It does completely fine, and in my space, I can't even have the amp turned up all the way or it will overpower my desktop speakers, so I likely would have had to have the sub's amp turned down almost all the way, since it has a 1000W amp in it. Is it "as good" as the original Velodyne amp? Who knows. What's important is how it sounds, and this amp connected to the sub sounds incredible to me - that's all that matters. No complaints other than the frequency knob not having markings, so you don't really know exactly where you're crossing it over, but the middle would be about 63Hz, and you can generally just do it by ear, or get out your measurement gear. • Great way to add low end to your system with a 'spare' speaker
Needed a subwoofer for a low buck PA system but didn't want to spring for a new one. Had an old speaker with a blown tweeter that wasn't viable to fix and decided to give this a try. Yanked out the tweeter and added a cover plate. Screwed down this little jewel inside the cabinet and wired it up. Plenty of power to keep up with the other components and really fills out the bottom end. I'm pleased with the results and cost. Allowed me to recycle something that otherwise would have been junked and sounds good too. ... show more

  • Works great
I have the amp connected to 4x Dayton 16 Ohm Bass Transducer all hooked up in parallel. Still can't run past 50% gain on this amp.

  • Provided the boost I needed
The Fossi TP-02 Subwoofer Amp is exactly what was required to round out a great purchase I made of a 5 Channel Pyle receiver/amplifier. The 200 watt Pyle amp subwoofer output is only 20 amps, not enough to drive my 10 inch PASSIVE subwoofer. So the sound was very tinny. The Fossi TP-02 has outputs for active subwoofers (RCA port) or passive subwoofers (banana plug or bare wire). Now my system sounds rich and full with a very simple add-on. ... show more

  • Really good power for a 12-in sub
I installed this to a 12-in passive sub in my theater room and it shook the house! I can't believe this small unit produces that much power! And I only have it turned up a quarter of the way.

  • Really happy with this one.
I have a Klipsch 12” sub that the amp failed on. Typical of this particular sub from my research. A new plate amp is $200, might as well just buy a new sub. I took my chance on this and am very pleased. Took about and hour or so to dial in the crossover and level, listening to various sources and music and videos. Certainly doesn’t look as tidy as a built in plate amp but it sounds just as good IMO. I rarely use the sub since my main speakers will easily reach into the 20s, but for movies, there is nothing like the rumble of a good sub. Incorporating DSP would be the only improvement I could think of. ... show more
