I connected this small amp to my custom PC for the past 2 years and some change. I have not had any problems with connectivity, sound, and performance period. It's strong enough to power an 8-in 100W Yamaha sub along with 2, 5-in speakers. The sound is amazing. I can't speak for all, but for me this unit has been a workhorse. When it comes to Bluetooth connectivity, that's subjective and also it has to do with your personal device. It sports Bluetooth 5.0 so in theory it should handle connectivity pretty well. But if your phone doesn't match that version of Bluetooth, you won't get the performance you expect. That's how Bluetooth works. It'll revert back to whatever version your mobile device has. The range is 50 feet, but that's assuming no thick walls, moving from one room to another and going to other floors within your household. It's a radio signal after all. Anyone complaining about losing connection needs to understand how the tech works. For me, it works and I typically leave my phone is one place. I'm actually going to pair it with a Fosi DAC K5, since I heard good things about it. I need to enjoy good quality audio in my headsets too and not try to annoy my neighbors. ... show more

    • Drives the speakers I chose with no problem. No way to turn off bluetooth.
I purhased this amp specifically because it's one of the few that drives passive subwoofers. With that said, this amp does the job well. Knobs feel pretty well built and it has very smooth volume control. However, the knobs are not keyed. Meaning if you remove a knob to say clean it, and place it back on, you have to keep in mind where the line is on the knob, otherwise it won't look right or you'll have the knobs all out of alignment. The other problem I have is that the bluetooth radio is always on and when the device is not connected to a bluetooth device the signal is always set to be visible. This means that if you're in an area prone to having a lot of people (and therefore a lot of bluetooth enabled devices) around you. Someone can hijack your amp and play whatever they want if they see your amp in their bluetooth menu. Worse is bluetooth takes priority over analog input. I feel like that if there is an active signal coming from analog input, then bluetooth should not be able to hijack your speakers. Thankfully, to get around this you can exclude the bluetooth antena and the signal is only strong enough to fill a room (about 10 feet without a wall blocking the signal). However the option to just have bluetooth off would be greatly appreciated just for privacy reasons alone. Other than my concerns around bluetooth, the amps performs well. ... show more

I detest all in one devices and am a AV component proponent all day long! Fossi, Douk, and Nobsound units are good, cheap, easy to use and allow for your choice of speakers, subs, and audio player preference. From old-school to hi-tech. Their minimalist design and small form factor are their beauty and elegance. Pair one of these with your favorite speakers and you'll be amazed. Hooked up this tiny amp to a pair of older Polk Atrium45 speakers and the subwoofer output to a Velodyne 10" powered subwoofer. Bluetooth connected easily with phone to play some tunes. With Bass & Treble at mid-setting, sound had crisp, clear midrange and highs, but boomy, heavy bass. Bass control did little to reduce boominess... needed to adjust volume on back of Velodyne. Bluetooth range was OK for most upstairs rooms, but did drop out. Considering wide choice of powered sub-woofers available today, having a subwoofer line-level output is a great feature. I only just plugged it in so I can't speak to durability but it powers my Klipsch RP 8000F II tower speakers very well! I did have to crank up the volume to get the speakers up to my desired volume but that doesn't bother me. I'm only just over the midpoint on the bass knob and maybe 65% on the treble (all based on personal preference). I plan to add a subwoofer and that might improve the sound even more. I played Apple Music and Prime on it via Bluetooth from my iPhone. I also plan to use it as a soundbar replacement for a TV via Bluetooth. It sounds great to me as a non-audiophile novice. It works excellently as an extremely affordable temporary solution until I decide on a full fledged AV receiver or processor + amplifier. Highly recommended! Some have commented that it's hard to read the lettering on the silver version. This is true but there aren't that many words to read and remember! Easily powers my 2.1 setup and the bass control is really fun for me. Kind of a niche product for if you want fine bass control and dedicated analog bass wire connections to woofer but Bluetooth connection is quick and seems strong. The knob labels can be difficult to read on my silver unit but with so few you learn them easily. It also just looks nice for an amp. I wanted this to live up to it's reviews, it doesn't really hold a candle to slightly more expensive DACs, and likely not supposed to for this price. I have a NAD 3020, and a PS Sprout (version 1), those are worth saving up for, sound quality is amazing. I have this FOSI connected to my Wharfedale Diamond 10.2, it's very flat, very little warmth if any, tinny. This or an SMSL would be a cool xmas gift for a young adult interested in building a small collection. ... show more
