I bought this product to attend a vintage carnival as a bearded lady! I have a feeling I’ll be reusing it lots! Pros: The length and coverage of the beard is actually better than it looks which gives a lot of options for styling! Dry shampoo/hairspray goes a long way with this beard and wig 14$ for a wig and a beard!? That’s a screaming deal for the creative possibilities of this set! Cons: wig isn’t adjustable Wig ripped pretty easily while styling Both items tangle pretty easily I bobby-pinned the beard elastic strap to my real hair/wig cap because it was digging into my ears - totally comfy after doing this! Forrest Gump Outfit I used this beard and wig for dressing up as Forrest Gump for a Halloween party. I won first place in a costume party with this. I received the beard and wig folded and sealed in plastic. I didn't have any problems getting it out of the packaging and fluffing out the beard and wig. It was exactly like the picture had depicted. The beard had elastic bands that fit around your ears and the wig also had elastic to fit around your head. I have a large head and both fit very comfortable with no issues or problems. My younger niece is much smaller than me and both fit her just as comfortable. Functionality I wore the beard for the entire night. It didn't try to slip off while I was dancing or running around. It was hot in the bar but the beard and wig didn't add any additional heat to me. The materials used wear very durable. It didn't fray or shed any of the fibers throughout the entire night. The beard never got in my mouth while I was drinking or eating. It stayed very stationary and out of my way. It was very easy to breath with the beard on as well. It wasn't blocking or tickling my nose at any point. Overview This beard looks and functions perfectly. It works great for anybody wanting to dress up and doesn't have time to grow out your hair in time for the part. Any age or size person can use it without any problems. I bought this for a Duck Dynasty costume I put together this year and it worked pretty good. The wig and the beard are two pieces. The wig part stays on your head similar to a shower cap. The elastic however didn't go all the way around the rim of the cap. The beard is held on by two little loops of elastic that is meant to go on each ear. This hurts your ears after it stays on for too long. I modified it by looping some rubber bands through the loops so that it goes all the way around your head and over your ears. It is way more comfortable that way and can wear it for much longer. The wig also does shed a bit which is to be expected. It is also trimmable if need be since it does get tangled easily. This is a good buy for what you pay for (especially at the local party stores). Highly recommended. ... show more

When this item initially arrived, it was missing the wig component, but the seller was very helpful and friendly and sent a replacement out immediately. Also, even though I only paid for 3-5 day standard shipping, it was in my mailbox within 48 hours, so that was awesome! The beard will require a lot of tweaking to look anything like the picture. It is quite a bit thinner, the elastic straps that hold it on may need to be supplemented, and some double stick tape or latex costume adhesive are a must to get the mustache to stay in place. That said, it's a costume wig, and as such, it's fun. I certainly can't complain too much--just don't buy it for your church thinking that you'll be able to use it for years for an Easter/Passion Play. You should probably go ahead and spend more on something more professional. For a one or two time costume use, it's perfect. My husband is using it for a Viking costume, and if it survives, I'll reuse it at Halloween for a bearded lady look! ;-) ... show more

    • Matted and tangled. Lots of work to make it look good.

The beard and hair arrived matted and tangled. Good quality materials and sturdy, but whoever packaged it let the the locks go this way and that and get pressed into overlapping bent shapes in the package. Even at the center part of the hair and moustache, some pieces go wrong way to the other side in and out the other pieces of hair. If you have ever brushed doll hair you know it turns to frizz if you are not gentle. I spent 1.5 hours on the beard getting it brushed out with hot water and laid out to dry, and another hour on the hair before I gave up and decided the character would have messy hair anyway. The beard was just about inside out at the mouth with the moustache twisting up and the lining showing at the lip area. I had to wet it with hot water, brush it against a cutting board angled into the kitchen sink and then twist tie and weight it into the correct shape to dry. Now, the beard looks great, and it could have looked great out of the package if they had carefully packed it. ... show more

This fits perfectly on my head and face. I wear 7 1/4 hat size, which is average I guess, but the wig is pretty stretchy so I think it would fit all head sizes.The beard has straps on the sides so you can hold it up by putting the straps over your ears, none of that glue crap. The beard can get a little irritating when wearing it for a long period of time but that is usually my experience with any costume beard. Overall, I like it so far. ... show more
