The pictures are a bit misleading. I thought from the pics that this was a formed bottom freestanding pack that you could just set down after taking off and it would stand on its own, not so. It is a soft easily foldable type of pack if that is what your looking for. It is a good size and seems well stuffed for insulation. I used mine once, but it checked out as described. There were no issues packing ice, sodas, water bottles, nalogen bottles for 3 people working outside all day. It sat in the black bed of my pick up all day/direct sun about +/-80 degrees. About 40% of ice melted, but everything was ice cold. I didn’t put much ice in to begin with, so I was fairly impressed (hot truck bed!). The pockets proved great. I stashed my phone and some fruit with no issues. No leaks. I am excited to truly break it! I like the orange... you definitely won’t have trouble finding it! ... show more

I would have never thought I could keep beverages and food cold for a whole day and still have ice in the evening. I just received my back pack, my daughter and I loaded up the cooler with food, beverages and ice at 9 a.m., we went on about our day....ALLLLL DAY, went shopping, sightseeing, went for a hike, then the beach, got home at 10 p.m. and there was ice still left in the cooler!!!! The day averaged between 80-85 degrees, the backpack stayed in the hot car the majority of the day too!! So many compartments and with having a packed cooler and being 135 pounds 5'7" slender woman, the straps were so comfortable, I never once had an issue carrying the back pack. The color is amazing too, ordered the pink but looks more like the inside of a watermelon; very pretty and well made heavy duty bag. Highly recommend. Oh, and no leaks either :). ... show more

I am very impressed with how long this bag kept our sparkling water cold. I had about half a pound of ice in there and it kept things cold for 8 hours. I don’t think it leaked whatsoever, but I took it paddle boating and kept it on its back (as pictured) so I think it leaked out of the zipper but I can’t be certain. The carrying capacity is fantastic and even when it was stuffed full of beer and La Croix it wasn’t painfully heavy to carry. I’m thrilled with this purchase. ... show more

So far, so good. It holds a lot and I didn’t experience any rips, tears, or discomfort while carrying. I did put my ice into food storage bags, so there wasn’t any melting ice directly in the bottom other than sweating as it melted. It did feel cold on the bottom of the backpack, but no wetness. After 5-6 hours of being out (outdoors and car ride to location) I would say this is a good choice. The straps are comfortable, nothing leaked, and my drinks stayed cold all day. ... show more

I'm quite pleased with this item. It does a great job keeping the contents cold through out the day. I use it when I go paddle board fishing and I'm usually out on the lake for about 4 to 5 hours fishing. It doesn't quite keep the ice from melting as long as a normal cooler but it doesn't melt as fast as I thought it would either. I haven't had an issue with water leaking from it yet like other customer reviews. I would say you can get a good 3 to 5 hour trip or use out of it before you would have to replace the melted ice. I also like that it comes with a bottle opener attached to the strap. The netted side pockets also held up pretty well so far as well. There's plenty of other pockets to store other items as well. I use this as my lunchbox. I work in construction and usually have to walk a bit to my jobsite/break area and I need something big enough for my two hydroflasks, breakfast/lunch containers and icepack. I like the back pack style so I do not have to lug a more traditional style cooler or large lunch box around. The extra pockets are handy for all the daily things I like to have on hand (phone charger, pens, small first aid kit, etc.) and the zippers seem to be sturdy. Reason I take the stars off is the smell! The inside smelled so strong when I first opened it. I wiped it out with cleaner and then with plain water…still smelled horrible of plastic. I luckily didn’t have to use it for a week and left it open and wiped it down a couple more times. It still has a faint smell but I think it’s getting better. I leave it open, pull the liner out and wipe it down at the end of every day. ... show more
