So I bought this to throw a wire antenna into a tree in my back yard. It's very long and extremely sturdy. So sturdy in fact, that I had to cut it to fix an issue I was having. High quality stuff and really slick so it's easy to throw. Just wear gloves. I threw the wire up and I had a carabineer attached to one end. It got snagged in the tree. I thought I could just snap the snag it was stuck on, or at the very least the wire. 10 minutes of pulling and dragging, using all sorts of leverage, neither the snag nor the rope broke. I was bending the tree at one point. Not much, because it is a large tree, but it was swaying. Ended up having to cut the rope and now I have some rope and a carabineer stuck in my tree. Lesson learned, don't have anything tied to the other end of the rope until after it's up in the tree. ... show more

Good quality materials and construction. I did find the throw bag to be too heavy for my liking. I swapped the bag out for a lighter rubber ball and I get much better throws.

Works great, line is very stiff and strong.. pro: as it should be con: a little tough to handle 1 star off cuz line barely fits on spool without slipping off but hey, works great on taking down dead tree limbs.. TIMBERRRRR!!

I felt the design and quality of product was very good. Worked excellent for me. I have a bad throwing arm from years of sports but was glad to see product is designed for underhand swinging. Very slick. Doesn't get hung up in the bark. Glides easily over rough areas and through the Ys in trees. Not sure about the strength. Seems like it might not withstand much tension if it does get hung up. The spool it comes on is trash. You need to either put it in a throw bag/bucket or on a new spool. ... show more

This worked perfectly to get a line over a branch 60 feet high using a "Notch Big Shot" sling shot to shoot the weight and line. I would not have been able to get a line over a branch that high without this.
