I wish i tried acrylic bars sooner holy crap, i've had my nipples pierced for 2 years now and the healing process was painful and long. I was about to just take them out for good but after doing some more research i decided to give acrylic/bioplast barbells a try. I'm so glad i did! I had even bought some super pricey implant grade titanium bars that still gave me trouble (R.I.P. to my wasted $45). After switching to these, using biotech spray opposite my shower schedule, and putting jojoba oil on religiously- my piercings have done more healing in the past 3 weeks with these bars than in the last 2 years with various metal barbells. If you're having problems with healing, definitely try acrylic bars that fit flush against your skin- longer bars cause issues long term as well. ... show more

Exactly as described. I was getting an MRI and couldn't leave my nipple piercings in. I didn't want to take them out entirely and risk the piercings closing up, so I put in these plastic ones. They went in perfectly and did the job.

After 17 months of discomfort I've finally found rings that works for me. Literally, within a week of wearing these, there has been significance improvement and healing. Pictured, from left to right, stainless steel (what I was given when I pierced my nipples), titanium in the middle, and off course the black hypoallergenic ring. Yes, the studs are too big, and while the extra ring is a plus, I personally wouldn't wear it as a tongue ring because the ball is too big for my comfort. However, I won't deduct stars because they look great on my nips. I think it important to state that I stayed with stainless rings for about 6 months. Bought titanium barbells, (which was suggested to be the best option), and tried those for 2 months. Bought titanium O rings thinking if I eliminated the studs it may help with the healing but it didn't help. So painful. Also bought titanium D-Rings thinking the shape was better because it was straight but also eliminated the balls from pressing on the piercing openings...zero help. And finally, the hypoallergenic rings...which absolutely worked and getting better everyday! Kicking my self for not making the switch sooner. ... show more

I needed these as nipple retainers for a surgery I am fixing to have. My previous size was a 1/2" barbell with 4mm balls. I didn't think these would be much bigger. However, they are. They fit fine and will work for the purpose intended, but these are not daily wear compared to standard metal barbells. These would definitely have issues getting caught up on things. I would also worry about the long-term durability of them. They are externally threaded (which I feel should be mentioned in the product description), and the threaded portion is not terribly long or secure. While I never had an issue before with metal barbells and teeth, I like how matte and dark these are, that it hasn’t scratched, how flexible it is, and that if I should bite down on it my teeth will be okay! I was looking for a nonmetal tongue ring and I came across this on Amazon. I really love the length and the color of the ring, I ordered orange. It fit and screwed in fine and was comfortable as a tongue ring . I think it’s awesome that you get a bonus barbell with the order so if you lose one or the ball falls out , you have back ups. I would totally recommend this product to anybody looking for a completely plastic ring. Sometimes there’s instances where you can’t have metal in your mouth or on your body and this acts as a good retainer to keep your piercings open. ... show more

Bar length was perfect, not too short not too long. Only thing I don't really like is the balls.. they are big. I get mine caught easily and it might be a problem. Other then that I like them. Update: I decided to return the item because I didn't like how big the balls were and was sucks worse is I had to pay to have a shipping label printed out to send these back.
