Should have been made of unpainted stainless steel, there is no way to get a ground with this mount. Use only short thin antennas as both the mount and rear panel flex with just a little pressure. If you antenna is longer than a couple feet you better have a spring on it our you can expect damage to your tail light and Jeep's rear panel.
