Worth the try. I hope it holds up, and I will update if I experience anything regarding that. I bought two, one for myself and one for my husband. We are heavy folks, and this is rated to 330 lbs (some color options are rated to 400 lbs). This in not person weight only, but it also takes in force of sitting down, as well as gear in the bag and on person. I like the variety of colors, the generous shoulder straps, the fairly comfortable bench seat (really quite nice for something that is part of a bag), the reflective strip, the spacious cooler, the zip pocket, water bottle holder, and the fact that the frame is nonobtrusive. It does not feel awkward at all to walk with this on as a backpack. Take note of the legs. Had this been a four-corner leg frame (like a chair), then the weight would likely push them into the ground. Instead, these are rounded and in one full piece, so the weight is distributed more evenly. Feel light, not at all heavy. Good detail. Funny thing, we actually have four of these. As mentioned, I bought one for my husband and myself. At the time, they are $25 each, and I thought that was a good price to take a chance with. And at the same time, my husband bought one for himself and for me. He made a point to add on some paracord zipper pulls. All together we have 3 camo packs, and one army green. He had already used his several times for hunting with no complaints. Not really sure if he used it as a bag or cooler, but he definitely used it as a stool. I haven't used mine yet other than to try it on. I will be keeping it in my car. I tend to go for hikes, and I like the option of having a bag-stool-cooler combo. Also, I like to have extra stuff in my car for emergencies and such. Also works nice for impromptu outdoor gatherings at friends houses. Got myself a seat no matter where I go. I'm a 2 is 1, 1 is none sort of thinker, so I plan to hold onto my 2nd one incase one breaks down or I simply want to use something other than camo (I have a camo one and a green one for myself). ... show more

I have not yet used these for fishing/camping but I bought three for my groomsmen. I have busted them out and checked them and I can say that they definitely fit an average sized adult male. They won't fit you if your a bigger guy but they definitely aren't "kid sized" like other reviews claim. They feel pretty sturdy and aren't super uncomfortable to sit on. It's between a backless stool with a flat bottom and a folding camping chair. I guess imagine a folding camping chair with no back. The backpack straps are kinda flimsy but I'm sure it would work fine. Definitely good and portable for something like camping or fishing where you wouldn't wanna lug a whole chair somewhere. Easy to fold out and use and I definitely think they're good for the price. The build quality isn't amazing or anything but for the price they're not bad. Definitely would beat sitting on a rock or the dirt and being able to store some cold beverages is nice. ... show more

I am a woman over 200lbs and I bought this so I had somewhere to sit at work. I am a job coach for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and that means I often sit/stand around and watch people do their jobs. I bought this so I didn’t have to snag a pickle bucket while I watch one of my clients work in a big kitchen. It is small, easy to tuck out of the way when not in use, lightweight, and has plenty of storage space for the paperwork and writing utensils I need. No assembly was required so I just pulled it out of the box and took it straight in to the job. This is a good design, I've used it once, doesn't seem like there's too much pressure put on the zipper. Not fitting a 12 pack of beer in this cooler But that's okay to go 12u softball tournaments. I would not say this was worth the price paid, although it was a decent foldable chair. We had issues with the backpack, as the zippers broke after a day of use, & the bag itself was cheaply made. We were able to use this bag/chair multiple times, although could not store as much in it due to broken zippers. It is an easy to travel with bag/chair, and was useful when waiting in lines at theme parks, as you could sit down during long waits.
