  • To all 2 wheel riders, this is the one to get.
Color: Silver
This is my 3rd FOBO. Great value for the price. I have it on my new Goldwing, cause I want to get the PSI reading as I approach the bike, not when I start riding. The set up is excellent and quick. Follow the easy instruction. Moreover, now the APP shows up on the bike's Carplay. Fantastic idea. I just wish the batt will survive longer than a year. 90.00 is priceless for safety. ... show more

  • Beware if you own certain Buell models
Color: Black
I will open with a positive review of the system on the four bikes that we have that are running this system without issues. They work very well and we are quite pleased with the purchases and the product. There is one caveat for one of the four bikes though: If you own any BUELL model that is newer than 2003, specifically the XB models with the perimeter front disk, the sensor will not work on that front wheel. The combination of the inset brake caliper for that perimeter disk and the slightly offset tire valve leaves no room for the sensor to clear the caliper. Just rolling the bike around the garage will result in a grinding sound as the sensor contacts the caliper. The way that the front rim is cast leaves few options for valve stem replacement because of the thickness of the rim at the valve location. If you find that a T-type valve stem might fit, be extremely certain that the stem will not rotate within the rim as there is a chance that a taller stem with a sensor hanging off of the side of it can be damaged by contact with the caliper while riding and that's an immediate loss of pressure. (Granted, that's a lot of planets to align before the universe flattens your front tire but it's still possible.) This is not a design fault of the FOBO unit. In fact, I'm not sure how anyone could have anticipated this, much less designed for preventing it, nor is it a flaw in the Buell rim/brake combination. I do run the sensor on the back wheel, the more difficult of the two wheels to monitor, so there is that, I guess. We have the system on three other bikes, a HD Heritage Softail, a newer Triumph Bonneville and a BMW R1150RT and the system works beautifully on all three. We still check tire pressures manually from time to time and find that our gauge numbers are consistent with the sensor readings. ... show more

  • Tire pressure monitoring system
Color: Black
I originally had a Chinese version of TPMS for my motorcycle but the display was completely blanked out at even the mildest sun. Also the disply was very small and almost impossible to read while riding. I am cautious of my motorcycle tires since i drive on many out of the way roads. I was skeptical of the FOBO system since it cost $100 but included only the sensors at the tires. However, installation was very simple and the display of air pressure, battery level, tire temperatures, and many features for warning of tire problems made this system ideal for my motorcycle. I generally have the smartphone in a holder on the handlebars for trip and map guidance. So, having the phone double as a TPMS was an easy decision. The system has been very reliable and I particularly like that I can check the tire conditions before starting the bike. As soon as the smartphone links to the sensors all the information is displayed. Prevents taking off and having to ride a half mile before the information is available as the Chinese system required. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Works fine while the battery lasts
Color: Black
UPDATE 11/15/2020: I was able to reach the manufacturer and have been in talks to get the defective unit warrantied and replaces. Once I get that I will be able to safely update this review to 5 stars. I'll say it does take some time going back and forth, but overall it's worth it to get the part warrantied for free. Initial Review: Soooo, I bought this for my FJR because sadly it didn't come with built-in TPMS. They arrived pretty quickly and paired equally as quickly with the app. It took a while to figure out how to switch the pressure reading from KPA to PSI, but that was pretty much the biggest thing. These things work exceptionally well that I've seen so far. Some people complain about all the different pressures that show up, but they're easy to remove and easy to understand. There's your current tire pressure, which is very large and easy to read. Directly below that, is the temperature adjusted pressure at a baseline of 70 degrees. As the temperature rises and lowers, your pressure rises and lowers along with it. Ideally, you should inflate your tires at 70 degrees F for your recommended pressures, but we know it's impossible to make sure it's 70 degrees as we don't all have temperature-controlled garages and can't control the weather. I've found that number to be mostly correct and helpful. Lastly, the other numbers are at the very bottom of each wheel outside the box. That's the pressure that you set as your recommended pressures. When your pressure gets too high or too low above your set recommendation, the app will warn you. The warnings are loud and I've experienced both too high and too low warnings. Now for the issues that I have found so far. I definitely recommend getting a T valve stem for your bike. That's a tire stem that has two different inflation points. That way you can leave the FOBO on the wheel and inflate or deflate from the other. It's very annoying having to toggle the pump and the FOBO trying to get the pressure just right. Second, I found that my initial battery lasted quite a while, then for some reason, the front wheel just started eating batteries. I would change it today and in three days with the bike just sitting in the garage, the battery would die. Notice in the screenshot the dead battery on the front wheel and the last time it recorded the temperature. That makes this incredibly annoying and useless. I'm reaching out to the manufacturer to see if I can get a replacement. Aside from the minor annoyances and the battery dying so quickly on one of them, I would definitely buy these again. ... show more
