    • Tricky to learn - quite ideal to have a large open space while learning to control

This is certainly tricky to learn to control. I first tried to experiment with it inside the house and was unable to do any of the tricks in the manual - even the seemingly-simpler levitation above the hand. Fortunately, the ball cage is very light-weight so even with it banging around the walls and furniture, there was no damage to anything. After a bit more experimentation and the ball never wanting to return to me, I decided to test it in the backyard. Each test resulted in the ball flying away and not wanting to return to me. I figured that I had to throw it higher so tried doing so which caused it to veer off to the side and promptly went into a neighboring property and down the hill into some dense foliage. Unfortunately, I had lost sight of it when it went over the fence so I had no idea where exactly it went to. It's fairly clear that to get full advantage of the enjoyment of this, you really do need a big space. Of course, even when I was a kid, I never had any luck with boomerangs whether the traditional wooden type or boomerang-style toys. Therefore, I'm not really that surprised that this boomerang ball decided to fly away from me the first chance it really got. I was looking forward to getting some video of this boomerang ball in action once I got the hang of it so I could upload it with this review. Regrettably, until I'm able to find where it went, I'll have to omit pictures or video. One note is that the flashing lights can help to keep track of it even at night, so you can continue to enjoy throwing this ball around in low-light conditions. ... show more

So my little guy loves this thing, we have thrown this all over the house and it’s still in one piece, so durability is great, my Only issue is this thing is loud, other than that it’s a great toy

This product is a fun toy for the kids but is very difficult to control. It is not meant to play with in a small room or a room with a lot of valuables in it. Definitely do not bring this outside because it will fly away. If you have a big room and a lot of space it might be fun for an older kid.

The media could not be loaded. I would like a refund of my money or send me another toy that is actually working. I understand if if I had it for a while and it’s not working, but that’s not the case here. I bought it. My son only played it for one day and that’s it.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this, thinking I might give it to the neighbor kids who are the curious type. When my girlfriend saw it in action she immediately commandeered it for her 12 year old boy. Luckily I had a couple of days to play around with it before she ran off with it. The toy comes in a nice little box, suitable for gifting. It's easy to charge, easy to turn on, and easy to throw. Catching is a bit more difficult though. It really takes a bit of practice and skill to become good with it, so kids will stay interested for quite a while. Not sure how long the charge lasts but I never ran it all the way down myself. It feels like it might break if you crash it hard, but it has held up remarkably well. When I ordered this it was priced quite high, around $60. At the time of review it has come down to about half that. Maybe it was high for Christmas? I think at the current price it's a reasonably good value. Definitely a fun and unique toy that everyone will want to try out. ... show more
