Considering this cost me less than $100, I am pretty stoked on the features. I spent a week doing research and watching videos. This one was featured on a Gamer Heaven (youtube) review. The guy there seems to focus heavily on gaming controllers, specifically. He even put this down as his "controller of the year" (overall) for 2023. Most reviews I saw for it though, were mostly very positive. It happened to have all of the features (or the most of any controller I looked at) that I was looking for; hall effect sticks, adjustable triggers, remappable back buttons, haptic triggers, fast polling rate, etc. I had considered spending upward of $200 on the Xbox elite, but was worried about talks of the controllers having stick drift issues, out of the box (and not being replaceable). The DS5 Edge was also expensive, and although it had replaceable sticks, they were mechanical. For less than $100, this bad boy had all of the features I was looking for. I am loving it so far...mostly... The software is pretty bad and a lot of the instructions I have found online are in Chinese. I have had a bit of trouble remembering the instructions for switching from X-input to Direct Input, etc. And when I try to google the button combos to change it, most of what comes up is for a different model, or isn't in English..so that is annoying. I also don't LOVE the fact that it has the holes on top for their mobile device accessory, which I will never use. I do wish the grips were rubbery (like the xbox pro). that is maybe preference, but easy enough to "fix" with a set of rubber grip accessories that I purchased. It feels great now. I also wish the back buttons were removeable switches instead of static buttons. You can turn them off if they are annoying. But, they are often nice to have in a lot of games. I just thing the paddle style switches like the ones on the Elite or Edge controllers seem a lot nicer. But this controller at least had back buttons at all, which many other 3rd party controllers (under $150-200) did not. I also think the Vader 2 looked better. I am not a fan of the blue/grey/silver colorway. But, again, that is personal preference. The ability to change the RGB is nice. I also don't love the asymmetrical joysticks, but have gotten used to them. Many folks will maybe prefer these. Also preference would be that the controller was a BIT heavier. It feels pretty good, and not cheap by any means. But when I pick up my friend's XBOX Elite controller, I am a little sad mine doesn't have that premium feel. But that also comes at a 2x the price tag. All in all, I love the controller for the price. I wish there were a few things done differently, but I don't think you can do much better for $80, honestly. ... show more

I wrote a super long review about how I was rank #263 of 500 in North America on Overwatch Open Queue, but it all got deleted by accident so I'll summarize, and then give some points. Hall effect is amazing, but for the first month it was mostly losses for me getting used to it. I'm talking losses so bad a Top500 deranked 8 times. I am just now starting to destroy the competition again and am one rank of of Top500 starting again. Reasons this is the best controller: -1,000 Hz capable -Adjustable lights. -Instant click BUTTONS. -Instant click triggers (adjustable) AT NO EXTRA COST. - Pretty user friendly software, also remembers 4 configurations you could save. - Vibration intensity feels, in MY opinion, better than every other controller I've owned/tried(Ps4,Ps5,Scuf Impact, Scuf infinity 4ps, xbox elite series 1). I hate rumbles, but something has felt nice about these, call me crazy. - It doesn't feel like the price feels. The price feels too good to be true for all the features, but it's not, Chinese manufacturers can just mass produce so many it makes them cheaper than the other places that do custom controllers, and the plastic feels equivalent to a ps4 controller to me. Doesn't feel like cheap plastic, but i still can't imagine dropping it from over like 5 feet is good(I've dropped mine a few times). - 8 way Dpad. This doesn't benefit me so much, but will probably help the Top-Down players for diagonal movement most. Personally it made it harder playing helldivers, but I've gotten used to it. - Removeable thumsticks that can be replaced if broken or superglue'd to a KontrolFreek that was wedged on ;). - The inputs on the back being buttons makes it so I won't snap the paddles off sideways - I did that religiously with my scuf controllers and despise them for not making metal paddles like Xbox does. -Connects via wireless signal with dongle, Bluetooth, or cable. - Gyro playability. Arguements from the other side: -The wireless dongle isn't very reliable because signals from the pc are disrupting its' signal. I've not done it, but I know you could solve this problem with a USB extender just to bring the dongle out from the PC a bit. Or use cable like me, but I believe cable is limited to 500Hz(which is a heavily debated topic if that's really worse for gaming - I personally feel nothing different). - Open software to equip a configuration, close software, get done playing, open software to equip different config, controller setting unavailable. Just turn off and then turn on the controller to reconnect it. - Select button is uncomfortable to press having to reach over the thumbstick, so I just don't use the select button that often. - The last thing that is kind off odd, but not really, is that you'll have to use a translator for the mini booklet to setup the controller unless you watch a vid on YouTube. Coming from someone who lossed stupendous amounts of matches on every game because I swapped to this controller - I FULLY RECOMMEND THIS CONTROLLER. I LOVE IT. It's under $100, with Instant click buttons and triggers, 1,000Hz capable, has paddles and removable thunbsticks somewhat compatible with KontrolFreeks.
