Great for my plants! Definitely the more expensive option, but well worth it for planted tanks. An all-inclusive option for everything plants and the water column will need. Not the easiest to plant in, loose material makes it hard to keep plants in the substrate.

You will need anchors. I washed and rinsed it all in coriander. Very fine and dusty. Makes it very hard to plant as you can't see what you're doing. But when it settles its good. Good Substrate. Have a ton of plants on the way Not going to add fish in a couple months. Want to see how plants do first

What I did was emptied out my tank did not rinse I didn't want to lose the beneficial bacteria than add 20 lbs of sand in a 55 gallon it's best to add sand or gravel on top of the dirt my plants are healthy and growing like weeds

I’ve been using stratum to root my philodendron cuttings and it has never failed me. It speeds up the rooting and makes transition to soil easier and less shocking on the plants
