You will need anchors. I washed and rinsed it all in coriander. Very fine and dusty. Makes it very hard to plant as you can't see what you're doing. But when it settles its good. Good Substrate. Have a ton of plants on the way Not going to add fish in a couple months. Want to see how plants do first

Great for my plants! Definitely the more expensive option, but well worth it for planted tanks. An all-inclusive option for everything plants and the water column will need. Not the easiest to plant in, loose material makes it hard to keep plants in the substrate.

The media could not be loaded. Words cannot describe how irritated I am with this product. First things first the bag was half empty, but I know that’s how companies operate so I looked past it. As I begin to strain wash and clean the substrate, I noticed half of the actual substrate in the bag is broken down to a fine powder. Leaving me with a mushy sand substance while trying to clean the product. Which is giving me a hassle considering trying to separate the dye powder from what is left of the actual substrate balls in the water is a pain of its own. Still trying to filter & clean the tank till this day. The more I clean the substrate, the less product I am left with. & Yes I have purchased this product before from petco, loved it. Washed & strained it & was clear in the tank within two days. The only reason I’m giving this product a one out of five is because the shipping was fast other than that it’s an no for me. ... show more
