Wow! As a musician myself, I am always venturing into learning how to play new instruments, and thought it would be nice to add the flute to that ever-growing list. I didn't really know what to expect, but I was surprised by how nice this flute really is. For starters, it looks much better in person than it does in the listing photos. The blue is a nice, crisp colour and the silver is vibrant and shiny. You can feel that it is quite sturdy and well-made. It comes carefully packaged in a case that you can use for daily storage when it's not in use. The only real downside is that if you are just learning how to play, the assembly may be a bit difficult, as there are no instructions or diagrams included to walk you through assembly. Also, the listing photo shows a pair of gloves which, to me, aren't necessary, however they are not included. ... show more

This kit comes with everything needed to start out. A decent quality case is included, and the color is absolutely beautiful! Definitely a great way to get an instrument into a child's hands without spending a ton.
