Used this for my vivarium background. I just didn’t feel like doing the whole expanding eco-earth brick thing and this was a quicker solution. Just wet the background, apply gorilla glue and throw this down on it.

I have a leopard gecko and she was flat out refusing to use any of her hides that at the time had sphagnum moss in them. I purchased this coco fiber, and she now uses her hides! It keeps the moisture up, and is a lot easier to maintain in my opinion than the moss was. Honestly I think she was afraid of the moss, but she definitely likes this! And man is there A LOT of it, I think we are set for at least a year or two! ... show more

I mix in the coco-fiber in a big tote with cypress mulch, live hydrated sphagnum moss, and regular sphagnum mulch to create an extremely naturalistic, super humidity retaining, enriching forest floor environment for my arboreal geckos. They absolutely love it. Coco fiber is great on its on, but it is bland and lacks the spongy "bounce" of a medium combination. I use it in my green tree frog terrarium. Works and looks good. This bag will last a while. There were a couple large clumps but pulls apart easily enough. My tip is to pull the fibers out of the bag, I made the mistake of pouring last night and got a lot of fiber dust.     • Too much sting fiber

I usually use a different brand but they were sold out so I purchased this brand. Most of the bag was the stringy fiber on the outside of the coconut shell. I prefer to use the ground up material for my tarantulas. Other than that, its a fine product. Its just not for me.
