  • Light and durable
A bit pricey considering there are other meters out there with a few more features but the 324 is perfect for for a/c work. I’m in HVAC. This is my go to summer meter and compliments my 116 for everything I need electrically. Accuracy is key and it is as accurate as any other fluke and more than other brands. I have used fieldpiece, uei, Klein, all good meters but I find the fluke the best. It is fast at showing readings. The only thing I wish it had in addition would be micro amps, guess I have to save up for a 902 but like I said, my 324 and 116 has every I need for hvac. The 324 is a good meter. ... show more

  • Highly recommend...
It's exactly what it should be. There are some reviews that complain of wanting higher resistance measurements but this is pointless since the specs for the meter are available and it only makes sense to read the specs before you buy the meter. This is a great little multi-purpose meter. - It can fit a 600MCM in the amp clamp - Measures up to 400A (AC only) - Includes test leads and temperature probe - Measures capacitance, temperature, voltage, amperage (AC only) and continuity/ohms (resistance) - A nice backlight for the LCD display The meter is more compact than most Fluke clamp meters but definitely worth the money. It is an advantage for me since I need a compact meter that I can take with me to troubleshoot panels, motors, etc. but it doesn't take up much room in my desk drawer. The LCD display is nice, clear, and easy to read. You don't have to view the screen head-on to see the numbers clearly but as with any display (TV, computer, etc.), if you change the viewing angle too much the display is harder to make out. The selection wheel turns smoothly and clicks lightly at each measurement's detent, making it easy to get the correct measurement type. The clamp is strong but easy to open and has lines marked on the clamp face to show where the wire should be located for the most accurate reading. The test leads are long (approx. 3.5 - 4ft) and are very flexible. They snap firmly into the meter and stay put quite well. The temperature probe also fits nicely and stays put without wiggling out or slipping loose during use. The readings are quick and accurate. Exactly what you would expect. All in all, it's a Fluke. I've used Fluke, Ideal, Greenlee, and many others and while many these are either good or "good enough", the Flukes I've used have been extremely reliable, accurate, and durable, therefore dependable. I would highly recommend this meter to anyone. ... show more

  • The most user friendly meter I've used. Amazing design
I was thinking about getting a Klein meter because the feature/price ratio was so much better, but went with Fluke because I found my co-workers' Klein meters to be lacking in some departments in terms of testing speed and some physical aspects I personally didn't take to. This is by far the easiest to use meter I've held in my hands. Fluke really killed off all the complexity other meters have and made this as plug-n-play as possible, to the point it feels like I'm playing with a toy. It's very responsive when I interact with the dial or put the test leads into the meter, to an oddly satisfying extent which makes me actually look forward to using it. The test leads are longer than the other meters I've used, which is especially amazing when in a cramped industrial setting. I didn't plan on using the case but it's very high quality and is slim enough it slots without issue in my tool backpack, so despite having to disconnect the leads everytime I store it, I use the case. Overall, this does have less features than the competition's meters (especially with price taken into account), but this Fluke is designed and built incredibly well in comparison. I only wish they added at least some DC current reading capibility to this model since it can test capacitance, but I suppose that's what the 325 is for. ... show more

  • Its a Fluke
It's a Fluke - need I say anything else? I bought this to troubleshoot my AC unit which is what it's designed for. The K thermocouple accessory is a nice additional feature. Measures capacitance in the 0.1-1000 uF range (basically only good for big AC caps). Comes with a case, meter, thermocouple, and a standard set of probes. ... show more

  • Good quality meter
Good quality meter, solid sturdy construction. I'm not a professional electrician or HVAC tech, but I wanted a good quality meter that had, in one unit, the typical measurements that I'm in need of: voltage, current, resistance/continuity, capacitance, and temperature. Previously I had a box of various and assorted meters, none of which had all that I wanted, but in combination did. All were of standard (read: dubious) quality, and never quite seemed to agree in scale. I junked them all and went w/ the 324. It has performed to and exceeded my expectations. The quality and construction seems substantial for contractor/tech work, but I can't comment on field durability, this will be a 'garage queen' for my occasional use. The price point is high for my general needs, but I feel that I'd probably spent more than that on the bevy of meters that I discarded, not to mention the implicit costs associated with poorly calibrated devices and not having any sense of confidence. I'm happy with my decision, and very pleased with my purchase. I've attached some additional pictures of the product (taken from the Fluke site) -- these should be included in the main product pictures above, but aren't for some reason. Product includes: meter, case, manual, probes (red & black with pointed tips and caps), thermocouple. Manual available for download at: http://media.fluke.com/documents/32x_____umeng0000.pdf Disclosure: I work for a subsidiary company of Danaher, of which Fluke is also a subsidiary. Other than that tenuous relationship, I have no relationship with Fluke products, company, or personnel. I was not compensated nor asked by Fluke, Danaher, or any other person or company to provide this review. PS: Have a nice day. ... show more
