Not functional....atleast for a kindergartner. the sides are not hard so she ends up squishing her lunch inside her backpack every day. Will buy a hard side lunchbox instead. Otherwise it is cute and pretty spacious inside. The zipper is sometimes hard for her to undo too and gets caught on the fabric around the corners at times but can easily be fixed by an adult ... show more

I love this lunchbox! It reminds me of a Simple Modern dupe for half the price. The mermaid print is so adorable! It is high quality and very well made. My 3 year old daughter has used it for the past year and we haven't noticed any major wear. I would highly recommend this lunchbox.
