I am honestly surprised. It is designed for kids.. but it is a real drum. The sound is beautiful. Like an adult drum with softish mallets that come with. I cannot wait for my 4 year old to open this Christmas morning. This is one of the best priced drums I could find on Amazon.

This drum is colorful and eye catching and sounds great! My son loves it! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because when it arrived the colorful wrapping on the drum was actually bent up, so I had to carefully peel back the lower rubber ring and slide the paper underneath so it would eventually tear off. ... show more
