Pros: base is very heavy, so it stays put; nice to be able to make fine adjustments to brightness; easy to assemble; comes with 1 lightbulb Cons: there are MANY pieces to screw together so it can all fit in a small box; the support pole, once assembled, is slightly crooked midway down and there is nothing that can be done about it. This product comes with 5 or 6 threaded rods with the cord running between them all. Assembly was going well with the first 3 rods, then upon inspection of the fourth, there was no thread on one of the ends. This left the lamp unable to be correctly assembled. I didn't feel like going thru the hassle of a return so the thinner end of a drumstick worked well enough to allow full assembly. I can't rate more highly due to this issue. ... show more
