I originally bought one of these for my newborns bedroom. It has a sort of night light function on the remote (red button) that turns the light on the lowest setting. That has worked great for waking up in the middle of the night or when he needs to be changed at night. The light itself is easy to assemble, looks good, and puts out an average amount of light. It is definitely best for a situation of complimenting other lights or as an accent, maybe an armchair light as well. I liked the light so much I purchased a second for my house and a third to use in my office at work. The only thing I found with multiple lights is the remote is the same for all of them, so if I turn on the lamp in my sons bedroom; the one in the living room downstairs under that room turns on as well. This lamp looks really great and I love that it has a remote. However, it was not clear how to put it together and if it wasn’t for the pics posted by one reviewer I might still be trying to figure it out! It’s not hard it’s just not obvious and the directions don’t help.

Don't expect a hardy product. It sits off center and crooked because the cabling is too long for the inner core causing the top to flop. I bought two of these and out of the box the color of the shade is slightly different. They look good at night when you can't see the obvious flaws and cheap quality. These are super flimsy so look out for kids or pets knocking these over. ... show more

Mine was folded "hamburger" but it needs to be "hot dog" to actually line up with the frame. Great lamp, looks fantastic in my living room. The remote that comes with it feels super premium and is literally a better remote than the that came with my expensive TV. There are PLENTY of color temperature/brightness options too. Nice lamp and as expected for the price. The shade is confusing to attach. Nice hues to pick from. So it is packaged with shade rolled in the wrong direction. The shade clips onto the two white metal rings. So roll the shade where the clips will be at the top and the bottom. Clip shade to rings and then it velcros together at the seam. I bought this light to make a reading corner in my bedroom. Most importantly the lamp shade comes rolled in the opposite direction that it hooks onto the lamp so I'm glad reviews noted that.
