This hose is far superior to rubber and polyurethane hoses. The material that this hose is made from is virtually kink-proof. It also stays flexible in cold temps. No hose is immune to sharp metal flashing or nails. I have repaired them on jobsites using a barb fitting and clamps ($2 from the hardware store). Takes about one minute. I have also have had much better luck repairing these hoses than the polyurethane ones, as the poly hoses tended to bubble at the repair. (depends on the pressure you are running) Another thing- Polyurethane and rubber hoses when used or stored improperly at low temps will crack and fail at a kink, which is why we switched to these. They spool faster during cleanup since there is no need to worry about kinks when storing. The material is not as smooth or as light as polyurethane, but it's still better. ... show more

This air hose is light weight and easy to roll up. Best air hose I have used. Same goes for the slicing tools that are designed for the flexilla hose. Very easy to fix if you somehow manage to shoot through the hose as I did. Other than that, hose seems to be very durable and just great to use. Was so good the rest of my framing crew immediately switched over to flexilla after they saw mine ... show more

    • Best air hose I've bought
For years, Ive used the green or blue poly hoses. And for years, I've begrudgingly tolerated problems, common with that type of hoses. Such as kinking, tearing, or just being unfriendly towards coiling in different temperatures. Had I known how great the flexzilla hybrid hose was, I would have had switched much sooner. The hose coils easily and never kinks. The material feels durable and I'm not afraid of pulling it around corners. I was worried about hose weight initially. But after using the hose for a couple of weeks, both on the ground and on ladders, I don't notice any strain from hose weight. I plan on replacing all my hoses with this stuff now. ... show more

    • Not a framing hose
This is not the standard hose you want if you are framing houses. Seems more like a shop hose, outside diameter swells to about 5/8”. It’s a good hose but if you are looking for a 100’ x 1/4” hose for framing maybe try something else.

    • I really wanted to like this hose
I really wanted to like this hose.. but I ended up returning it. My use was just basic shop use, nothing too intensive. My biggest concern was going to be that it would lay flat in nice big loops hanging on my pegboard. Due to the material and the construction which is nice and light, I felt it also caused it to not coil and hang flat. As soon as the hose was pressurized it would 'kink' or twist under pressure so it would not hang flush against the wall. I really like that it was light and flexible, but it just doesn't seem to coil well for those of use that care about that. My brother in law has the 3/8" x 25' version and his seems to not be as much affected by this as the 1/4" version. Overall, decent but not for the O.C.D. coil guys like me! ... show more
