This was SO worth the cost, which was surprisingly low. I mounted the unit on the side of a built-in shelf in the garage in just minutes including all of the connections. Works great. I do not like the air leak at the swivel connections, but I figure this may be typical. I would hope to hear something from anyone who has purchased a recoiling air-hose unit to see if this is indeed common. Works well and Looks Good! 50' hose reaches to very end of my driveway. I have a manual 50' extension and with it I can extend to 100' and get air anywhere almost on my property.

Eaxy to install (4 bolts). Comes assembled, put the bracket up, slip the reel on, put in two screws to lock the reel to the bracket and start using it. I did have to use a fitting or two to connect my air compressor to the reel since i needed to go farther than the 2 feet connector provided. But i had them in a kit i had purchased before. Worked first time, love it. So much easier to fill tires now. ... show more

I haven't written many reviews on products, I expect things to work and that's it. And this product did, until it didn't. The air hose is good quality, well built and easy to use. I had my air hose reel for about a year, then the internal spring broke. I didn't expect much from the company, but I reached out to them about a warranty. I was totally surprised by the excellent customer service I received. They responded to my initial email quickly, then subsequent emails even quicker! After a couple of short emails between us they had already shipped a replacement unit to me. All of this happened in one day. I am really impressed with not only the air reel, but the customer service too, that makes a lot of difference to me. I was emailing with Mary at Giraffe Tools, and she was AWESOME!!! If I ever need another air reel, or can recommend an air reel to anyone it will be from Giraffe Tools, and it will be because of the customer service. ... show more

The take up reel roller window is too small. The hose will bunch up and won't let you feed left and right in order to not bunch up and jamb. My hose was also crushed under the strain relief spring. Would not flow full pressure air until I "fixed" it not sure it will last long term. The reel itself seems heavy and of good quality. ... show more

Works great and is much better than wrapping that air hose up all the time! Easy to mount as well. I did buy a longer leader hose than what was supplied, by my small tank sits on the floor!
