Unlike some other reviewers I do not pay this sort of low price and then expect high quality shoes. They're a little smelly and I really can't tell that there's any leather there (but wasn't expecting that for this price). They're even more adjustable than I thought, as the whole width can be tightened with the elastic, as well as the back around the heel being adjustable. Also unlike some other reviewers I have no problem with the etchings on the inside of the sole. Maybe I just have thicker soles on my feet as I walk around barefoot all the time at home. In fact I find the etchings rather comfy. All in all I'm pretty pleased with this for the price. I was looking for some cheap sandals for sloping around in the summer and I think these are good for that. I did find they run on the large side. ... show more

I am very happy with these sandals. It took about a day to break them in, but now they are quite comfortable and I wear them all the time. I like the closed, protected, toe cover and the adjustable fit. Good all-purpose footwear.

Very nice for the price. Good for people with normal width feet. If you are cursed with Hobbit feet like my however these are not wide enough. Even though I had to send them back, would still recomend them

Ok so far it's been casual and social situations. And they feel great. Lots of complements. But, and this is important. I bought them for sailing in a really rough sandy, gritty environment. I'm very very optimistic. Last pair got the life beat out of them. I'm yelling you I broke the sole in half. No stitch failed, none of the adhesive anywhere failed. Again I beat these shoes, to my expectations what would be beyond what engineering expected. But...my #1 expectation is that they clear dirt ect out of th sole and my feet. I have high hopes and will let you know. End is buy them. Form fit and function. And they look really good. Even after I beat them to death. Again I'll let you know ... show more

This was a Father’s Day gift for my husband who typically wears a size 13 shoe. They fit a little loose on the heel even when the Velcro and shoe strings are as tight as possible. Maybe redesign them so the Velcroover the heel can be pulled in even tighter?

These are an excellent fit! I wear a women’s 9, so I ordered a men’s 7. These things are super sturdy and the velcro is holding up extremely well. They’re easy to adjust and look awesome, too. The toe guard is strong and protects well. I’ve worn them as daily shoes, as well as hiking shoes. I’ve had no hot spots and no issues with the design on the soles “pinching” my feet, unlike several others who’ve left reviews for this item. I’d definitely recommend these as regular shoes, as well as for outdoor adventures. ... show more

EDIT 08/09: After wearing a week I really like these; Wear them nearly everyday doing light/med chores on the ranch; they are pretty darn comfortable and my 52yo feet don't hurt at the end of the day. I use a shoehorn rather than the adjustable straps-to avoid wearing and curling of the straps. So far these FLARUT sport sandals are holding up well with no noticeable damage or loosening components. I've had them in dirt, rocks, the pond, weeds, pasture, barn, climbing the windmill, ladders, etc. These are becoming my go to footwear for general daily ranch stuff (obviously wear boots if doing 'snakey' areas or tractor/chainsaw work...keep these at the back porch *I also ordered a Pair of ATIKA s13 (largest they had) similar sandal to keep at the front porch- those have not yet arrived. ***********08/03 Tight when first putting on; size 14. After wearing a few minutes they feel fine; would like them a bit wider, but I have a stretcher if needed. Good look; I have a much more expensive pair of Merrel in this style and would like to keep those for other endeavors and less 'dirty work' around the ranch. Comfortable and seem durable enough after a day; will try to update the review after a week or so of use. I have 44acre and lots of dirt, so the slip on is great-compared to tying/untying several times a day. I try to leave shoes on the porch to keep the house clean. ... show more

I don't know what I expected but they do fit surprisingly well. For some reason, buying sandals in a store now seems downright impossible. So far these have held up after 2 weeks. IF they last a year, I will have got my money's worth.
