This awning protects my mud room door and looks good doing it. It’s a good value and delivers what it promises. It’s not complete rain protection if installed per the directions - there is a gap between the awning and the wall and also around the inner edges. We added transparent caulking.

Installation: On cinderblock wall, above air conditioning installed through the wall. Building is a commercial print shopnear back corner of building. Likes: + quality materials + easy assembly + pieces fit together well, not wobbly/loose + very sturdy but also lightweight + looks good! Not so much: - Awkward to hang; if the manufacturer has any guidance on installation best practices, it'd be great to include this in the box. Maybe a paper wall installation template as well? - Really not a fan of the wall anchors included in the package; I only got solid grips on 3 of the 4 bolts, the 4th just kept spinning and never gripping. Kinda wish I'd brought my own anchors. Or maybe I just suck at installs. TL;DR: Great product, excellent value, well made, would buy again and recommend to others. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was a little freaked out about the reviews about addembly. There is a great you tube video where the guy is showing how to… in the yard, laying flat, large space. Its 30 degrees here and Im too lazy to work on the ground. I did this by myself in 15 minutes each. Another trick is when you attach the center piece to the roof.. I used a sock and small hammer to tap it down… you need to leave about an inch on each end. When putting panels into brackets, tilt the bracket a little. Watch his simple video and masking tape and it is truly painless. Im waiting for a Man with a ladder to hang them….Im smart enough not to do that part myself. My friends in Upstate NY had one and they love it. No problem with weight of snow. Im sure its all about how secure it is to the house. It appears that wind flows through arm brackets, so wind shouldn’t affect it, if it’s installed correctly. UPDATE: if installing over vinyl siding 5” screws are definitely needed! ! ! ... show more

Decided to order the double section to cover a basement French door entrance. I was skeptical simply due to the price but I figured we would give it a try. Unit came complete no shipping damage. Assembly is fairly easy but I will recomend using a helper to move / install simply due to the flexibility of the assemblies. I did not use the included mounting hardware instead I used Tapcon screws with stainless washers to secure. The awning has been up close to a month and been through some hard rains, so far so good. ... show more

It works well, but getting it to stay together while you mount it is hard. You can NOT mount it in pieces, then add the next section. It took 3 of us to get it mounted over the door.
