I have two of these and they have been solid. The gauge makes estimating the remaining propane in the tank easier though I found that there is still enough propane to cook for at least an hour even after the gauge reads empty.

I purchased this tank, specifically for the fill gauge, to know when my tank was getting low. I went to fill it up. I got it home, and the next morning, I went to use it and it said empty, even though it was full. I paid the extra $30 or so FOR the gauge itself! But, once it's filled, it can't be shipped back.
