It was really simple the installation of the item. The instructions that come with it are a little more complicated that the actual installation. It's accurate. I used the product and then went to Autozone to double check the results.

Best scanner device on the market, just leave it on your car, and get consistent data every time. Bets the $2000 scanners hands down, and no more having to go to your local auto parts store for a 5 page report of all the items the code my mean. Instead get clear and concise codes, describing the issue, what it means it simple form, and even the average cost of repair for the item or sensor. Works excellent with the app and my android phone. Can also be set-up for multiple vehicles as well, which is very cool. Codes are stored in the app on your phone, so even after you reset the code, there is a precise history, of the date/time/code, each time a code has been pulled. Very cool function as well. There is a PRO version of this app, which does cost money, however I have and use the free version, and its never done me wrong. The PRO version just provides more option and more opportunity then the free version. To each their own. ... show more

I was going to buy 2 for 2 white elephant gift exchanges I had for Christmas but the deal for 3 was really good so I thought I would try it out, I had a check engine light on that I was avoiding for several weeks. The whole set up took about 5 minutes that includes installing the app, making an acount and plugging it into the vehicle. So after plugging it in I had 2 codes pop up (this is the only reason it's got 4 stars instead of 5) 1 code was read and it knew what it was, when it knows what the code is it gives you a description of what the issue is so if you know how to fix it yourself you can do so and reset the lights through the app. Awsome. The second code came up unknown issue and offerd no help through the app other than providing the code number which was easily googled. For the unpaid version it gives the option to schedule service and the data from the time it was read. For the paid version it will give you an approximate cost of how much it is to fix it (which can be helpful if you don't trust mechanics) or a hotline that apparently has mechanics on the other end (I don't know how thst works I have the unpaid version) Overall the price of the product the ease of setup and how easy it is to use past set up this is an awsome product and I highly recommend rather you fix your own vehicle or take it in the shop it's 100% worth every penny again the only downside I've found is that it didn't know one code that came up. I've only had 2 codes apear so that's a 50% success rate but with a low sample size and it still gave the code and was easily solved on the internet so really not that big of an issue. ... show more

    • Its too basic and doesn't work on all cars advertised
On scanning the device reports problems only - there is only limited data for stuff that you might want to monitor on a longer term basis - so if you have intermittent faults or want to check the status of or see readings from a particular part- you can't. Of the two cars I have it only worked on one of them. Despite approximately 20 emails back and forth with tech support we could not get the second vehicle to work - yet other scanners work with this vehicle and the device works with other vehicles. ... show more

I’ve had this for a few months. Works fine on my Chevy truck but on the Jeep it will only read codes but will not clear the light when on, always fails to sync. Tech support is a waste of time. They repeat the same thing over and over never trying to deal with the issue that their product does not work as stated. (UPDATE) 4 months in and I can say I wish I had not bought this item. Support still will not grasp the issue. One of the sensors will not connect at all now says it’s not paired to the app and ask to add, then tells you it’s there but will not connect. Very nice. Suggests fixes and approximate costs. No looking up codes as it also tells you what you need to fix or replace. Very handy device.
