  • This watch is an excellent solution for those who have trouble hearing, seeing and with dexterity.
Color: silver
Perfect for the elderly and/or disabled - those who have trouble seeing, hearing and with dexterity. My grandfather recently lost much of his sight and needs hearing aids. Because he can’t see well and shakes, a standard strap would be too hard to put on. This strap stretches. He can easily press the button to hear the time, and we set the alarm so he knows when to go down for dinner. He can’t see the display so a loud, clear alarm with a big button was important. We could find no other watch that met these needs. If you are buying this watch for a loved one, you may have to help set it up for them. It syncs the time and date out of the box really well via radio waves, and there is already a battery installed - the alarms will need setting though. But there is an easy to read manual and there is a link to YouTube videos by the company. An extra set of batteries was thrown in too! This watch is a great product that really addresses a need, and does it well. Update: I noticed a typo so I hit edit to fix it but just want to add that I was up visiting my grandfather last month and noticed he is still wearing this watch - I wrote the review after buying it for him and programming it back in 2017. Still works and he’s able to use it though he’s now completely blind. ... show more

  • Best value available for this type of watch!
Color: silver
I bought this watch on Amazon to replace my previously worn out talking atomic watch, and had been pleasantly surprised and very satisfied with it overall. The plastic body appears that it may be more durable than other units I’ve used in the past, it’s operation is self-explanatory with the time and function buttons all easy to locate and learn their functions. The voice is quite loud and easy to understand, and the best feature I think is the fact that it comes with a removable band so if you’re not satisfied with the one it comes with, you can get any other similar sized band to replace it. another plus is that the side function buttons though accessible are slightly hidden to prevent accidental pushing of them if you should bump into something well working or walking. So therefore for the overall value is of operation and quality product, I am giving this a five star rating. ... show more

  • Gives blind adult some more freedom, date and time
Color: silver
It took 3 times to get this watch to my friend- 1st lost in delivery and needed to be reordered, 2nd item didn't allow setting time zone, and returned/replaced, 3rd time works perfectly so far, easy to set He loves it, doesn't have to ask anyone time, or date -aids in independence. Initially he complained about volume (doesn't adjust)but heis fine with it now. It sets automatically from atmosphere. New battery included if needed and suggests having jeweler replace to keep water tight. Have not test water proof feature. So far so good, fair price. ... show more

  • Handy for intellectual disability
Color: black
I purchased this for my brother who has Downs Syndrome and can't read well but can interact with verbal technology. He understands how to work it! I love that it resets itself for daylight savings so I don't have to fix it for him from a distance. Heads up for Americans, the voice is British -- it took my brother a minute to understand the time as he adjusted to the accent. The only thing that would make it better would be a way to turn off several settings altogether -- I worry he might accidentally turn on the alarm feature and not know how to turn it off. So far I just only taught him to press it once and he doesn't know about the other features, which seems to be working. It's tricky to find technology for people with intellectual disabilities, and I'm happy this product exists. ... show more

  • Not loud or clear enough speech
Color: silver
This watch was very easy to set up and easy to use for my Dad. However, he is not able to hear or understand the voice. After 3 days, he has called to ask me to return it. It just doesn't work as well as the last 1 he had. (This is his 3rd 1. These type of watches only last about a year.)

  • Time does not work accurately
Color: silver
We purchased this for my mom who has macular. The other one on amazon that I purchased lasted two years and we thought we'd try a differenty style. We paid to have this band adjusted for her size and it hasn't told the right time yet. We've reset it 4 times and it runs behind on average of 2 hours. Even though we can return this we are out the money to adjust the band. ... show more

  • Got this for my blind daddy
Color: silver
My dad went blind from diabetes. He asked me for a talking watch and this was the one I decided on. He liked that he could put it on by himself. He somehow managed to change the time constantly, however. I now have it sitting next to his urn and I push it occasionally, to remind me. (I love you daddy) ... show more

  • The accent of the speaker used for this talking watch is difficult to understand
Color: silver
The primary one button aspect of the watch to push for time and for date/day is what attracted us to the watch. It appeared easier to use. The volume on the watch is good. However, the speaker's voice has a English accent and is difficult to understand. Also, the watch arrives set to Pacific time. When finally getting it to Central time, by the next morning it had reverted back to PST and we could not get it reset to CST. We are returning the watch and will replace it with a different design/model. ... show more
