My husband is nearly blind. This is not his first “talking” watch. This is a good choice. The voice is very clear and easy to understand, which hasn’t always been the case with other watches he’s used. We’re hoping this one will last longer than others which seem to have a life expectancy of 2-3 years. I bought this watch for the big face and large numbers. But i really can't see the digital display as well as the watch that has the white number on the black face. I would return this watch and buy the one with the black face but I already had the links removed. The band was way too big for me. The jeweler took 4 links out and closed the case. He refused to take another link out. He said it was too difficult and time consuming. The band can be replaced with another type. The whole watch is large than I ever expected. The instructions for setting look too difficult but the jeweler set it for me. He did not set the voice that announces the time every hour. That is something I would not want. The watch has to set in a sunny place every day to reset. Actually, I doubt it but that is what the directions say. I know this sounds like a bad review but it isn't meant that way. This watch didn't work for me because i can't see the digital hands in all lights. But the watch looks well made and sturdy. I bought this watch for my Dad who has poor eye sight. At the time of purchase the picture showed a 24hr time and the literature included with it showed a 24hr time but from the video and instruction manual their doesn't appear to be an option for 24hr time. My Dad was in the U.S. Marine's and prefers the 24hr time. Seriously this lack of function along with a website that's "contact us" doesn't work earned this a 1 star. What kind of digital watch doesn't have a 12/24hr function? The plus side is the audio is clear and easy to understand even if the person has a British accent. ... show more

    • Great atomic watch but needs better instructions

The photo on the advertisement shows 4 buttons. In real life, there are three with the 4th one level with the metal watch. No where in the directions does it tell you how to use that4th button. My husband somehow set the alarm to go off every day and we could not figure out how to turn off the alarm setting. The directions say to push the button, but you can't with your finger. Finally, after trying and trying, I used the tip of a pen. That is the only way to use it. So, you can easily turn the alarm setting on, but it is a trial to turn it off. The company needs to rewrite the directions, especially for older folks who tend to use this watch! ... show more
